What : The Think Lab 2145
Where: local cafe or similar with lounges etc - venue can change
How: cover th 59 second course in thinking, consider taking laptop and large paper easel

I have one member ready to go.

The first meeting will be in the next few weeks most likely on a tuesday [seems to be a good day for it] during the day or evening, depending on attendees majority needs.

MHG: Does a multi person meetup via Skype count as f2f? I think so if we all behave the way we would in person. no typing, just talking etc. I should note that I would prefer face to face but skypes could be complimentary.

Third Monday of month meeting contemplated starting 24 th April 2010 as I will be away on 17th April.

Where - Illawara Club or Hurstville Library seem like a reasonable initial meeting place.

One person identified who is interested in joining SOT...will check if there are other SOT in my area.

Name of group to be determined after 1st meeting.

I am yet to find members of SOT in my post code 2602 Canberra.

But at every opportunity I pass this concept to people I meet both at a social and professional level.

I do not drink alcohol as I believe it is an "antidepressant". So having wine and socialising is NOT my cup of tea! I like to be MINDFUL every moment.

I have a cousin in Melbourne Victoria who passed on the SOT idea to me just like I'm passing it onto others I meet. We share a lot of NEW and POSITIVE THINKING ideas.

So until I find SOT members in Canberra 2602, I will continue with what I'm doing currently!

Aurelia Borealis Thinkers group 6003.

The groups name represents the location in Aalesund at 62 degrees North.

Date is set to the first Thursday every month, in my office in downtown Aalesund. The office have all facilities with whiteboard, projectors, lego boxes, flip charts etc. After the discussions we can go by the nearest pub for some refreshments, if we feel for it.

During the processing of options for a first meeting of the Imaginary Thinkers 94611, I had what I would consider a successful informal meeting with a business client as we wrapped up a project at the completion of a work day.

Discussion of shared similar experiences, we discovered that we were both great fans of the TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conferences. She had attended one and our discussion centered on thinking and creativity and the future of possibilities for changes in thinking and advancements of our world. This resulted in my feeling quite fulfilled and satisfied with the sense that this was a perfectly satisfying start in directions I hoped to take my SISOT meetings.

A more formal time and place will be designated for the next meeting with the specifics for the future meetings to be mutually decided at that time.

During our first Meetup we'll consider who else to invite, what theme we might like to pursue and what expectations we have for the Meetups (if any).

I plan to hold my first meeting in February 2010, First Tuesday night of the month. I still have to decide on a cafe to use, but somewhere quiet would be good. I plan to setup either a facebook or meetup group and to invite people that I already know.
