The Switch is The Universal Brain Software known as cvs2bvs

The cvs2bvs switch is the School of Thinking’s premium brain software or neuroware.

The Think Switch

Insight One shows there are three dimensions of cvs2bvs that can be considered:

1. cvs2bvs is a switch,

2. cvs2bvs is software for the human brain, and

3. cvs2bvs is universal.

DFQ:

Choose one of these three dimensions and in 25 words or more, elaborate on why it has been a useful one for you to think about.

CVS is like taking a deep breath and making your brain working like maybe a computer so you can control your thinking better cause you can switch on the CVS2BVS

  2. Trev Says:

Dimension one allows me to move from current thinking to better thinking. This enables me to be in my own paddock and not stuck with the sheep in either the left or right camps

  3. Mosaid ELNEJAR Says:

I imagine that the physical brain is a hardware, and that every hardware needs a software (which is the set of behaviours and habits acquired by each one), everyone need to install the good version of softawre in its mind and to protect it from viruses (evil thoughts). That what CVS2BVS tries to do.

  4. kenton Says:

switching sneaks in the presuppostion that something better is possible and maybe even “probable

  5. Judy Says:

I have often been curious about a switch. Some people seem to have some sort of switch in their brain that compels them to make drastic changes in their life and their thinking. The person who quits smoking or drinking immediately, never going back or someone who all of a sudden makes huge lifestyle reversals that renders them like a completely different person. Others spend a lifetime trying to change their thinking/behaviour with little success even though it may make a difference between life and death. What is the difference between these two types of individuals? is it innate or can this be learned.

  6. julian Says:

i think the switch is the key for me, to help me break the PTV

  7. Argen Moreno Says:

I think the software definition involves that we (our way of thinking) must function according to that mental code, that switch (bvs)… all our thoughts, actions must be dictated by the better view of situation.
Like when you setup a new computer, you need to install the software in order to make it works.. this software will make me (us) work with a different point of view, a better… so we can find answers, knowledge…

  8. Denis Says:

I love the thought that cvs2bvs is universal so that I can apply it to any situation. There is always a better way to see a situation and the universal switch simply has to be used.

  9. Jason Says:

I really like the idea of cvstobvs as a switch because it denotes, to me, ease of action. Its as simple as shifting ones thinking, changing the perspective and pow! You find yourself going from cvs to bvs. The concept of a switch that takes you to infinite universes of thinking is gam changing and has had a very powerful impact upon me.

  10. Maureen Says:

The notion that cvs2bvs is a switch intrigues me because is connotes action. Flipping a switch usually means turning something on. Therefore finding and flipping the cvs2bvs switch initiates a thought process that allows you to view a commonly occurring situation from a different perspective or with shadows falling across at just such an angle that you see it in a way that you didn’t quite see it before.

  11. alex dontoh Says:

First of all, there should be that awareness for a change of (cvs) before effecting that change for a (bvs).

  12. Harman Says:

    cvs2bvs is a switch

I have visualized cvs2bvs like a light switch going from one state to another. I am wondering if it is more like a dimmer switch. The reason is that one can improve one’s bvs.

  13. Jules Says:

I find the idea of the switch very useful. A switch implies a change in direction or mode and the CVS2BVS switches your thinking to stand outside of a current sitation and frees you up to look at alternative aproaches or ‘realities’ in a given situation.

  14. Paula Says:

cvs2bvs – the switch dimension is useful for me as it stresses the fact that I need to take action to be able to improve my view of a situation and that it can’t happen without input and time given over to thinking by me. Once the switch has been activated then a situation can be illuminated.

  15. McLytton Says:

    cvs2bvs is a switch
It has been a useful one for me to think about because, half the time I think I argue my case based on the current view of the situation. Some times that makes me defensive of my point of view. However, the bvs part of this presents a challenge that to every situation being observed, there could be another better view. The formula, dovetails well with Isaac Newton’s first law of motion that: To every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Therefore it follows that to every current view of a situation, there could be a possible better view to look at that situation. In addition, I think this formula could be of much use in conflict resolution, where the challenge is presented to feuding parties to look at both sides of the coin.

  16. Jenny Says:

cvs2bvs is the software upgrade I need. I’m stuck using the old version of the software and my “necktop” computer just can’t handle working in this cyclical frame of mind anymore. This fresh approach has enabled me to stop and review what I’m currently thinking and move into something else which is 10 times better. cvs2bvs is the tool that can get me there.

  17. Denis Alexander Says:

    cvs2 bvs is universal .
it can apply to any situation or any problem . When stuck for a solution to any particular difficulty it always highlights options and possibilities . Cvs 2 bvs helps switch from what is to what can be . It does not differentiate between one kind of problem or another . It’s easy to remember and it’s easy to apply .

  18. ed c Says:

Cvs2bvs as a switch is useful for me to think about because it puts by brain in creative mode. Instead of dwelling in a vicious cycle, flip the switch. I can picture that.

  19. Mike Biggs Says:

The switch is an obvious metaphor.
    Software is very good analogy.
But for me, the concept of Universality is the strongest point as it represents two separate concepts.
    1. That thinking using the cvs 2 bvs concept is applicable to any and all situations in life, work, and even itself.
    2. That it is a ‘way’ of interacting and or applying knowledge or abilities in any situation, which is a similar concept to the Brain software metaphor.

Useful to because I have a good understanding of the underlying principles at work here, and am focused on areas that address action and application.

  20. Jill Says:

Find freedom from thinking your CVS is restraining you from achieving your goals. Change your thinking!

  21. Andre Says:

    3. cvs2bvs is universal.

There are infinite outcomes when switching from CVS to BVS.

Lets say we do 10 side hops, but that does not mean we have to stop. We can continue until we reach the most satisfactory outcome.
And lets say we get to the most satisfactory outcome which reflects the current context, once the context is changed, then we can still continue to use the thinking switch from CVS to BVS. There are unlimited outcomes.

  22. Kevin G Says:

    CVS2BVS is a switch.

To change your thinking a simple matter of transitioning away from CVS towards accepting the opportunities available in BVS. ES=T.

Improving your thinking and your life is a choice which can be turned on in 2 seconds. Just do it.

  23. Chris Says:

    cvs2bvs is a switch

We learn by analogy, everyone ‘gets’ a switch. What has often facinated me is these perceptual guides or templates result in ‘escape’ ie you do them and the thought follows – this is directing attention.

    You can DO a ‘switch’!

This is a large shift from the idea that creativity is a magical and mysterious process that awaits inspiration.

Like motivation following action – thought follows perception.

  24. Julian Says:

the switch is the start of the thinking process. All too often in the past I found myself battling with all the rerasons why sometyhing could not be done or struggling to break through with someone else anchored to a cvs. Now I have a conciously competent means of dealing with this situation.

  25. Shan Guneratne Says:

CVS 2 BVS is software for the brain. It helps our “neck top computer” to process information by “stepping out of the box” and define a new situation all together, devoid of the CVS.

This new software is a meme you can spread to others who in turn will spread by adding value to it. This may have an exponential effect. Just the same way we are experiencing EXPONENTIAL growth in technology currently!

  26. Howard Feight Says:

The universality of the Law of Cognetics seems so evident to me as I have grown, with familiarity, to use the switch on a daily basis, and to both explore and discuss with others the potentials for the fantastic idea that there is “always” a BVS.

Perfection or improvement are living processes, ongoing and perpetual. Every human can strive to move from their current situation to an advanced view.

  27. Peter Says:

I think the Switch is particularly useful because if I did not have it my response mode to many situations – particularly complex or difficult ones – would be very different. For example, I might slip into a “Why does this happen to me” endless loop mode of thinking. Or I might feel I needed to rely upon someone else to solve the problem. However, since a thinking mode that includes CVS2BVS engenders resourcefulness, autonomy and I’d imagine, lower levels of stress too.

  28. Dave Says:

I find it useful to think of cvs2bvs as a switch. Once we know the switch is there, we just need to get into the habit of using it, flicking it, or pressing it, and exploring the different options that present themselves as a result.

  29. Baard Rosvik Says:

2: thinking about the brain as a piece of software that will act upon input in a predefiend and structured way to solve a task. With proper programming you will get the results.

CVS2BVS is a loop that reject the current in search for a better and the loop runs until the current is 10X the starting point.

Main takeaway is that anyone can be better by doing the cvs2bvs drill.

  30. Neville Says:

    cvs2bvs is a switch
This switch creates in us a healthy dissatisfaction urging us to challenge our current thinking – to know that any thinking can be or should be challenged. Its (r)evolution thinking.

  31. David Stuart Says:

I like the metaphor of “CVSTOBVS is a switch” because it helps people understand how we can change our thinking in the way we switch a light on and off.

CVSTOBVS is a catalyst for action. It causes shift.

It means we can change in a heartbeat from one universe to another. From current to better. From despair to hope. From no to yes.

  32. jj Says:

    cvs2bvs is universal

it’s the thread that links all our worlds together

  33. TimY Says:

    1. CVS2BVS is a switch:
I have found the concept of changing one’s viewpoint as a switch to be most enlightning as when a lightswitch is in the “off” position there is no exchange of energy and there is no light or heat given by the bulb though there is the potential of both. Most people live a life with their switch in the “off” position and live dark lives based upon a programmed response to what little stimulus good or bad they encounter. As with vocabulary thinking can be expanded as it is used to react to the same stimulus in a different manner allowing an escape from the rote and the possibility of 10X better results.

  34. Susan Says:

    2. cvs2bvs is software for the human brain

We don’t always consider the fact that just like all other parts of our body – our brain too needs practice at things to get fitter and to become better. We buy new software for our console games (eg Wii) and practice away madly to try and improve our scores, better the result, beat the competition – often spending endless hours striving for better. Yet, we don’t always apply the same gusto and effort when an oppotunity comes along that will exercise our brain. We might do cross words or suduko which lead to us being good at these activities – but may not transfer into improving us in our normal daily living. cvs2bvs is a software package that if practiced (just like a computer game) can lead to significant improvement and better still can be applied to a constant in our life – the need to constatnly change. cvs2bvs is a software tool for improving our chance to strive to change for the better.

  35. Peterb Says:

Couldn’t get the Video to run properly but, cvs2bvs ……. So.. I first read my book Software for the Brain years ago when I was teaching computers and my insight started then. Sure the basis for cvs2bvs was there and was a Switch. It went into my brain and like any new software it tends to promote itself to the front, Start Menu, Home Page etc., It is hardly a Switch with me anymore, more of a Constant, a sort of Home Page. Universal. Yeah! That’s it. It’s been a sort of friendly Virus which has spread in my brain to the extent that is brings a feeling of self confidence in facing the day and it’s options.

  36. Erik Says:

    2. cvs2bvs is software for the human brain,

This is the tool to use to have a personal control of your own switch to be able at all time to move from cvs2bvs. If one is able to use this software effectively one will be able to empower the brain to such an extend that you will always make the switch no matter the situation hence this insight will definitely correct and actually reprogram from past programming that you might have that did not empower your mind power.

  37. hrobson Says:

cvs2bvs i belive to be the switch that started me on this journey.

1 ive stopped defending my point of view.

2 im able to accept all points presented as [percieved belief] to be questioned,as we search for a bvs

  38. Susan Macintosh Says:

Michael, I also like point one..cvs2bvs is a switch.
A switch is something that turns on a current or change of event.. cvs2bvs allows a pause, and causes discontinuity in thinking patterns which may not be serving us well and sparks opportunity for lateral thought or x10 thought..in simple terms , a power switch turns on light or power..and cvs2bvs empowers our thinking.

  39. Michael Says:

I like to think about why cvs2bvs is ‘universal’.
It is universal in two senses:
    1. because any brain in the universe – animal or machine – can use cvs2bvs, and
    2. because it allows the brain to move from one parallel universe to another.
