So, from the last few lessons we wind up with this simple, user friendly neuro-software package, this powerful thinking switch: from CVS to BVS.
QUESTION: How do we load this neuroware into your necktop?
ANSWER: Repetition. Repetition. Repetition.
Programming the software switch into your necktop is easy. By exploiting the patterning system of your brain, it’s simply a matter of repeating, “CVS TO BVS”. You can simply repeat the software code – cvs2bvs – one hundred times a day! For the next ten days! Starting today.
INSTRUCTION: “Repeat cvs2bvs one hundred times per day for 10 days”.
(cvs2bvs) x 100pd
When I lived on Park Avenue in New York I’d practise by walking along the sidewalk (American for footpath) and as my left foot hit the ground I’d say “CVS” and as my right foot hit the ground I’d say “… TO BVS”.
cvs2bvs cvs2bvs cvs2bvs cvs2bvs cvs2bvs etc.

Not out loud because Bellevue Mental Hospital wasn’t far away and they might think I was crazy! It only takes a second to say “cvs2bvs” so 100 repetitions each day takes you 100 seconds or a minute and 40 seconds. That’s all. Some do their repetitions in the shower, others while commuting, others combine this brain exercise while exercising their body at their health club or gym.
Now what will happen if you do this? It will mean that you’re constructing a new executive neuroware pattern in your brain. The more you practise, the stronger the pattern. The stronger the pattern, the more power it will have.
Instead of finding yourself locked into defending a CVS, you’ll hesitate … and you’ll look for … and you’ll see … and then you’ll switch to … a BVS.
And the wonderful thing is that if you paint the pattern strong enough it will work on every other skill you have. If you practice golf, that won’t make you a good cook will it? Being good at golf doesn’t TRANSFER to being a good cook. But cvs2bvs does. It is a process, and as such, it’s designed to transfer to any situation, whatsoever. It’s generic!
Better is Clever
You can use cognetics to get better (and ‘better’ means more clever) at golf, better at cooking, better at studying, better at listening, better at solving business problems, better at selling, better at creating opportunities, better at making decisions, better at handling family matters, better at dealing with personal situations, better at getting better, better at anything!
The first step is to get started on your 100 repetitions each day of CVSTOBVS. To get the full benefit of cognetics, the price is 1 minute and 40 seconds a day! Let’s start now. Say this out loud once, it only takes one second.
INTRUCTION: Say: cvs2bvs.
Good. Now let’s BVS that. We’re going from 1 to 10. That simply means repeating the cvs2bvs switch ten times. It may feel a little silly at first but no one’s going to hurt you for doing it, and you’ll already be well on your way.
INSTRUCTION: Say it now ten times out loud:
cvs2bvs cvs2bvs cvs2bvs cvs2bvs cvs2bvs
cvs2bvs cvs2bvs cvs2bvs cvs2bvs cvs2bvs
If you think it’s difficult to get you to say it out loud, imagine what it was like to get a Monte Carlo auditorium full of over a thousand IBM executives from all over the world, with five translators, to do it! But they did it, and now they can use it, too.
cvs2bvs simply means that the current way is fine, but there’s always a better way, ten times better, if only we remember to deliberately look for it.
If you were to repeat a hundred of those switches each day (that is repeat cvs2bvs a hundred times), you would be keeping the switch in your short-term memory so that the pattern can link up with the projects and situations that come up for you during the day.
If we can escape from our current viewpoints, thinking patterns, righteousness and established ways of doing things–our CVS–we can then take a quantum leap ahead of our own experience and jump to ‘a much better way’–a BVS.

cvs2bvs is Kangaroo Thinking
Sometimes I call cvs2bvs Kangaroo Thinking because we can experiment and we can innovate in leaps and bounds.
We can hop from one bvs to another bvs. We can hop across parallel universes, sideways, from bvs to bvs to bvs.
cvs2bvs, the Universal Brain Software, frees the brainuser to hop across parallel universes with tenpower.

cvs2bvs also allows the brainuser to switch from one parallel universe to another.

Every NOW moment of the day can offer you an opportunity for cvs2bvs. For example,
- you might get writer’s block while preparing a scientific paper – cvs2bvs
- you might find yourself being a space glutton in a family meeting – cvs2bvs
- you might be trying to help your child solve a problem – cvs2bvs
- you might be googling the net looking for an opportunity – cvs2bvs
- you might be worried and depressed about money – cvs2bvs
- you might be about to decide what to have for lunch – cvs2bvs
- you might be boring a customer – cvs2bvs
- you might be being bullied by a friend or family member – cvs2bvs
- you might be playing a video game – cvs2bvs.
Repetition ensures that the switch will pop up at a time when you need to use it. And when it does pop up, then what?
To Look Is To See
If you decide to look for a BVS, you will see it. Yes, you really will see it.
INSTRUCTION: What time is it?
(Check your watch and record the time here ________.)
Isn’t it amazing! The time is always there, BUT you only see it when you actually look for it. Think about that for a moment! Through training and practice your brain learned (developed the cognitive pattern) to tell the
time, long ago. One just needs to use the switch: What time is it? and Hey! Presto! … we get to see the time!
The same applies to a BVS.
It’s your attention that controls your behaviour. You need a trigger to manipulate your attention from merely focusing on your CVS and to get it to switch to a BVS. This is also called lateral thinking or creative thinking. You’ve done it many times before but you need to do it better and much more often – on command!
The key to creativity is remembering to be creative at any particular moment, remembering to use the switch cvs2bvs.
Remember: What time is it?
Seek and You Shall Find
cvs2bvs will dramatically increase your odds of finding ideas, because you will be actively looking for them, habitually, as a matter of personal policy.
You can get a good idea today,
a better idea tomorrow and
you get the best idea … never!
There’s always a BVS! This means that you can have a perfectly valid CVS, but there must always be a better one.
There’s always a BVS!
The difference between the way you use your necktop now, and the way it could operate, is up to the software you use. Each time you do your 100 repetitions of cvs2bvs guarantees that you are keeping yourself, your family, your school or company, on the road to a BVS. Here is 100 repetitions of cvs2bvs:

DFQ #18:
Give a specific, concrete example of how you have deliberately used CVSTOBVS in the last few days:
(Try and use measurements if possible: times, amounts, percentages, dollars, messages, etc).

February 10th, 2012 at 8:19 pm
I used it when trading stocks, allways thinking about my BVS, and before deciding I tried at least ten times to see it from another perspective – BVS – before entering the trade.
February 9th, 2012 at 1:45 am
I have been using cvs2bvs while practicing meditation, especially when dealling with such ditractions as rhoughts and emotions- it has been quite helpful.
February 6th, 2012 at 12:01 pm
I have been using cvs2bvs to improve my chess game and as a way of measuring the effectiveness of cvs2bvs. Not only does it help to produce a far higher percentage of successful results it also allows me to notice what my previous strategy was and BVS that too. I have found that by measuring the effectiveness of cvs2bvs builds confidence in it as a tool, and this confidence appears to automatically trigger this switch without conscious effort.
January 30th, 2012 at 2:48 pm
I saved approximately 2 hours this weekend by rearranging my activities this past Friday
January 29th, 2012 at 10:09 am
I used bvs for better time management , to reduce worry by attention to NOW and the future benefits that will arise from practising bvs today.
January 28th, 2012 at 11:50 am
I was sitting in a seminar and I was asking myself, CVS2BVS.
January 10th, 2012 at 3:44 pm

January 10th, 2012 at 3:47 am
A friend approached me with a problem with regard to having money sent from a foriegn country to the US. He had a solution, the most common way, to the problem but wasn’t satisfied with it. cvs2bvs allowed me to come up with 10 other ways he could accomplish the same thing, allowing him to choose a way that was more to his liking.
January 9th, 2012 at 8:16 am
I have used CVSTOBVS to create better time management
January 6th, 2012 at 11:51 pm
I met with a friend who had told me that she was facing income problems having experienced the worst situation in the art world in Melbourne for many years, her gallery had closed and had no current gallery for sale of her work. Using CVS2BVS we came up with 10 new opportunities for her to explore. New ideas opened up which, despite her having told me she had really considered everything, provide her many new avenues for action that were not at all available until we had completed our CVStoBVS thinking. The shift in her outlook was palpable.
January 5th, 2012 at 9:34 pm
I have stopped prioritising my phone over my family, so now when I get home I give my wife and son more of my presence that I used to do before.
January 1st, 2012 at 11:20 am
I exercised 10 minutes longer, thried to say 10 more nice things to my family.
December 29th, 2011 at 1:53 am
I have been having difficulties in relationships with friends and was thinking how can I act differently from the way I am acting and the way I have acted in the past to improve this relationship.
December 27th, 2011 at 10:02 am
I’ve used cvs2bvs, recently, to deal with my “on time” obsession by focusing on getting things done NOW rather than waiting for the “right time”(I’m often strict about my schedule…and instead of focusing on what I’m doing or needing to do, being on time has always been the main goal) Now I’ve come to consider the “right time” to always be right now and I seem to get more things done ☺
December 26th, 2011 at 7:27 am
in marketing I use CVS2BVS to increase my selling and to improve my teamwork
December 23rd, 2011 at 10:12 am
I realized that I can utilize prior business connections to extend the affiliate program i was looking to build to drive business to my new website.
December 22nd, 2011 at 12:26 pm
Get more effective on time spending by arranging in a better way the order of things that I have to do looking to do it from CVS2BVS
December 22nd, 2011 at 10:21 am
I realized I could extend my opportunity for a new business to pick up affiliate linkages to people I have met in a former career.
December 16th, 2011 at 9:44 pm
My decision to deal with a stressful situation was alleviated when I realized I could get out of stressful location and relocate to somewhere I wasn’t getting stressed.
December 16th, 2011 at 3:20 pm
Just this morning while preparing for a presentation tomorrow I have thought about, how can I present this better? CVS2BVS
December 14th, 2011 at 5:51 pm
In each and every activity of daily life I started thinking how can I do it in a BETTER WAY and be ahead and improved in efficiency.
December 5th, 2011 at 3:11 pm
Yes.
I’ve looked at my current debt & have decided why can’t I change the situation around, and make me their debtor. I’ve wonderful skills & knowledge that most of the companies haven’t used yet in their companies. So I’m currently seeing all my debtors and tell them about my skills that they can use to the benefit of their companies.
December 5th, 2011 at 7:04 am
I used cvs2bvs pattern on a requesting way in bank that the employee help me to solve my problem .
December 3rd, 2011 at 7:39 pm
I’m spending 20 days of cvs2bvs in a certification course with Indian youth workers. The course is mainly theory, I’m letting the tools on the table for opening the box.
December 2nd, 2011 at 5:17 pm
Used cvstobvs to consciously identify options for moving ahead with a project (doc) that had been stalling. Now agreed w my team.
November 28th, 2011 at 12:21 pm
I used cvs2bvs to think of a way to help both myself and a colleague out. However when that didn’t work due to outside factors I again used cvs2bvs and thought of 2 different ways to help us each out with our businesses, and the result was much greater than the original idea, and has sparked at least 10 new ideas for my business and has help give him inspiration as well.
November 27th, 2011 at 5:21 pm
I started a new job managing a small business four weeks ago and could have stuck with the existing filing system left by my predecessor but searched for a better way based on the detailed processes and functioning of the system producing a more streamlined and efficient solution. Still to see tangible and measurable differences but certainly an improvement.
November 14th, 2011 at 5:16 pm
I am utilising my wasted time better now that I have downloaded audio books onto my phone, computer and burnt them to CD. This has given me the opportunity to get at least 1 hour a day of personal development. If I am driving, I will listen to the CD. If I am waiting for someone ( did this in the doctors waiting room the other day ), I will listen to it on my phone. I know where I am up to and pick up from that point on any media I am listening to. Now, when I am doing something that used to waste time, I am learning something new!
November 14th, 2011 at 7:49 am
spent 10 minutes cleaning, ten times
November 10th, 2011 at 9:38 am
CEO/founder came to me the other day with a problem with a small group of strong shareholders/investors wanting to roger him and take over his company. i have been there before and it all ended in disaster for me many years a go. some say that with experience you know what to do next time. sort of true however you can still much it up even if you have 20/20 hindsight vision. listening, reading and researching the issues and the players i, instead of appling experience which would have resulted in good advice, i worked with the CEO and we looked for the BVS. it took 10 minutes and we came up with a fantastic checkmate move.
November 9th, 2011 at 11:42 am
Thinking with my bvs rather than using my cvs to solve problems.
example:
This morning my phone wasn’t working propperly, instead of giving up completely I tampered around with it and it started working again
November 8th, 2011 at 6:45 pm
I am looking at finding solutions for all existing problems and future problems by asking myself,” Is there a better view of the situation?”
November 4th, 2011 at 12:17 am
I found myself saying “CVS to BVS” many times over yesterday and today before I saw this lesson. The journey continues.I am paying attention. Yes – repetition is the mother of learning. I will say it to myself out loud for the next ten days – 100 times = 10 X 10.
November 3rd, 2011 at 7:33 pm
I am now stepping back and not defending my views.
I am listening and allowing opportunities to unfold.

I have been experiencing breathing problems, and have been practicing cvs2bvs by breathing in air to my diaphragma, keeping it there for a few seconds and then breathing it out of my nose. I have been repeating this more than a 100 times a day for the last couple of days and it feels if my breathing has improved significantly.
October 27th, 2011 at 3:21 pm
I improved one specific job. it used to be done in 5 days. now i can do it in two 5 hours.
October 18th, 2011 at 7:12 pm
Nice one, Mike.
October 18th, 2011 at 7:08 pm
I had a significant backlog of routine work arising as a result of an urgent project and as a result I was not operating efficiently switching at times between current and overdue activities in response to new requests or reminders.
I set a side a period of time to define “What would better look like”
Having completed this I had a list of 14 characteristics (extended from the original target of 10). Following a days’ focus on the backlog I had everything either resolved or separated and prioritised for future work.
As a result I have been able to resolve critical elements in advance of a period of leave due next week!

i looked back at what was blocking me going forward on a particular deal. i looked very closely at the cvs, decided not to defend it as i would have naturally done as “all those people are dumb and just can’t see the big picture”. i just shifted, and looked for a BVS and guess what, i found it and have now set out to find others that i will need to assist me to realise the BVS
October 12th, 2011 at 2:55 pm
Right now I am considering dropping an activity (the reasons are unimportant here) as soon as I finish typing this I will look at those reasons and find a better view. Perhaps I will drop the activity and perhaps not but I am sure that I will have a better view of the situation.
October 11th, 2011 at 2:57 am
The metrics of “better” seen as something that will give one the best return on invested time, effort and money, something one can use, something tangible, something relative that can be understood, grasped, something of real substance that can be appraised for value, to the point, bearing upon or relating to the matter at hand. What if we first measured different as valuable … as significant … as the next step to going from “current” to “better” before we realized its relevance? Different, if given proper attention to, if given thoughtful consideration, can be the catalyst that opens up whole new opportunities to think differently, facilitating the search for “better”.
October 7th, 2011 at 6:24 am
I have started to use my ideas from a previous lesson.
They were as follows:
1. think about how to increase revenue by 10 %, by 100%,
2. cut costs by 10 % ,
3. cut costs by 100 %, eliminate the unnecessary
4. do exercises and activities in business and in life in increments of 10 minutes each
and then move on to the next activity
5. visit 10 web sites for 1 minute each to spot new and interesting things
6. then go back to the most interesting , meaningful ones to learn more
7. practice learning something, or a skill for 10 minutes at a time
8. read something for 10 minutes in between work, take a mini break
9. look at 10 contact names and associated info to come up with a new idea or approach to 1 of them for increased business
10. write an outline about an important project for 10 minutes
October 3rd, 2011 at 1:26 am
i am getting more organized
September 23rd, 2011 at 10:32 am
CVS = The worlds finance markets are in terrible shape, my sales figures are down and unlikely to improve.
BVS = There is still lots of opportunity in the market, we just need to be smarter about our contact with customers and refine our value proposition.
September 13th, 2011 at 1:18 am
A friend and I have been exploring a business opportunity. Over the weekend I intentionally looked for ways to improve upon our current working model.
September 10th, 2011 at 5:23 am
I have designed hands on activities to replace abstract concepts as a way to teach math differently.
I have started to write routines to reduce distractions.
September 9th, 2011 at 4:22 pm
CVS was “Oh dear, I have so much to do, I don’t quite know where to start” (overwhelm). BVS was “If I just identify the 1 or 2 things I’d feel most relieved about getting done and make sure I tackle them, I’ll be 90% satisfied”
September 6th, 2011 at 2:41 pm
I have been thinking about doing more bvs or cognitive thinking but have been unable of late to apply new way of thinking to the everyday situation. I believe that my apprehension to apply has stemmed from fear, a fear of failure.
However, an example I will use that has been directly affected due to cvs2bvs is that of my creativity. Having turned on the newly found switch and conscienciously turned off the old, I have found myself more outgoing towards my work and my colleagues. I handed in a programme I designed recently and so far the responses from peers and superiors have been extremely good to excellent. I had originally thought that this is something that I normally do, but having thought about it more thoroughly, recently I have been practising bvs to the power of ten, so sub-conscienciously I believe that the programme created was ‘infected’ (for lack of a better term), by this newly found ‘switch’.
As for my collegues, I started talking to more extended members of our organisation, (actively seeking them out as I needed to talk to 10 more people in reference to the power of 10) and low and behold my relationships with them, (which was pretty much non-existent), have gone to a whole new level. I’ve found out what everyone has been doing, saying and I managed to find out much more about my organisation than I would normally have without the power of 10 and I have created some new networks.
September 4th, 2011 at 10:59 am
I have not done it deliberately, but my mind is already doing it without my input. I believe, like learning to tell time, once learned, the skill becomes automatic. In time, I will be able to put in use deliberately, but for now, I am still breaking down the walls of inefficient thinking.
September 1st, 2011 at 8:04 am
I learned this elsewhere but apply it daily:
“My perceptions (beliefs) control my environment (my body, which is the environment for all illness), my genetic structure, and my DNA. I have the power to see this situation differently than I used to. Inherent within me is the power to create an inner environment that isn’t susceptible to illness or disease.”
I believe that is possible. With age comes numerous health issues and many of them I do not have to deal with, because daily I choose to go from thoughts about health issues to reinforcing this inner environment with cvs2bvs; “Every day in every way, I am getting better, better and better!”
August 30th, 2011 at 4:59 am
I laugh more often.
I use the stairs up to the 9th floor @ work.
I call my friends and family more often.
I exercise more often.
I’ve done a few more random acts of kindness.
August 22nd, 2011 at 10:46 pm
I have been preparing a speech for today. It is the kind of speech that I had never done before, and I had serious concerns as to whether or not I could pull it off.
Then cvs 2 bvs occurred
I know that I am great speaker and that all I have to do is “start” this speech and not worry about failing. Moving away from the thought of possibly failing allowed me to create in a space of “only succeeding” I’ve finished the speech, presented it to some associates who gave me an excellent review and am now ready for tonights presentation.
August 22nd, 2011 at 7:22 pm
I effectively used cvs2tobvs while teaching my child yesterday. AT work I apply this frequently during the staff meetings to understand the challenge the team
August 18th, 2011 at 1:49 am
I’ve used cvs2bvs on my drawing excercises, during idle times, and in many other things!
August 7th, 2011 at 10:27 am
CVS is being active but being BVS is being very proactive
August 7th, 2011 at 9:46 am
I completed a property deal that, If I have used CVS I would have never done it but because I switched to BVS I accepted it and will have repeat business and make 30k from it.
August 4th, 2011 at 8:20 pm
I have been putting of writing a hypnotherapy course. I have the outline, module content and coure requirements but just keep saying ‘start tomorrow’
CVS2BVS – sooner I start sooner it is completed and earning…
Will start on Monday at 10am!
July 26th, 2011 at 2:53 am
I have been using cvs2bvs to eradicate 97% of morning anxiety about work activities ahead of me through the day.
I used cvs2bvs yesterday to turn around a conversation with someone that was about to go wrong.
July 22nd, 2011 at 8:06 pm
Now I’m using on every CVS a different View of the Situation and that really helps to find a BVS. I have learned that if I change my view of a problem the problem can be solved or simply disappears. It only takes practice to do it. Many times we can do it by changing the language we use to describe a situation. Don’t judge just describe a situation or problem & a new perspective appears. This what I do in my coaching work.
July 21st, 2011 at 12:05 pm
At a really simple level it got me to get up earlier which has the flow on effect to get another load of washing done and hung out to dry, and then I get to work earlier, then I start working earlier, then I am in a better head space and really get stuck into things, then becuase I have finished everything, then I can leave work earlier (or at least on time which is earlier for me) get home earlier, have everything done for the evening earlier, start writing earlier. which all means I write more words for my book. Which from a measurement point of view is huge beause on some nights I was find it tough to find time to write anything! So that is a massive improvement.
July 12th, 2011 at 4:16 pm
CVS2BVS
Time spent with my children on the weekends. I planned to spend 10 x the amount of time playing in the backyard with them then I have previously done. I view this time now as an investment and not a chore.
It has improved my relationship with my oldest son x 10; this has been so positive I actually can’t wait till next weekend when we get the chance to play a game he ‘wants to play’.
June 30th, 2011 at 10:29 am
When stuck with writer’s block, I transformed my current view of the situation, that being futility, into another, that being optimism, and reached a better outcome.

When trying to organise a meeting with a few directors looking at cvs it was difficult but looking at a bvs I saw it was easy to get to them through certain co workers and associates of the directors

after a football game yesterday in which the under 18,s i am the trainer for got convincingly beaten by there opponents i used the cvs to bvs to understand what a great oppertunity this presented as to where our training methods could be improved for the betterment of the team.

June 3rd, 2011 at 11:14 am
I looked at a work colleague and my internal commentry was unflattering to both of us. CVS to BVS changed this situation.

Whenever specifying any attributes of something I want to work on, I setup columns for the Current (=cvs), Desired (bvs) and Best known anywhere (=Stretch) values of the attribute.

Reminded myself of the virtues and great qualities of people whom I came into contact with and also told myself not to prejudge someone in terms of my fixed beliefs.
April 26th, 2011 at 5:30 am
I used it whenever I woke up in the morning every time in the past few days mainly when I’m having a walk and the days activities. Also when doing my self-improvement exercises. Thanks.
April 4th, 2011 at 11:12 am
I really did not think I had, until it just dawned on me that over the weekend I amended and changed my website multiple times.
I believe I may of even used BVS up to 50 times!
My necktop on a subconscious level must be tuned in.
April 2nd, 2011 at 8:22 pm
I had been neglecting my walking; so I have decided to change my cvs
of lackadaisical walking to a bvs of disciplined walking that will make me
look after my health better. This walk in the morning represents sixteen laps of the oval, each lap about 400 metres, most of this time I say out loud “cvs to bvs. Not only am I getting the benefit of cvs to bvs, but the sound makes me feel as if I am listening to music of marching. cvs to bvs, cvs to bvsw, cvs to bvs

I making a decision regarding purchasing an expensive but attractive item instead of simply buying it I considered it using the thing caps . did a swot analysis . wrote down a cost effectiveness sheet and ended up buying the item for €1000 less than the asking price . In this case the BVS was worth €1000 to me .
cvs to BVS every time.
March 8th, 2011 at 12:52 pm
for the last five days I have set myself to do at least ten minutes studying my computer manual. I have done so and much more once I had started. Result, I now understand how to get better results from my computer use.
February 24th, 2011 at 5:49 am
I had been waking up at 10am or later and accomplishing very little throughout my days. Now I wake up at 8 am and accomplish much more.
February 21st, 2011 at 5:12 pm
I used cvs2bvs to tackle a task I’ve been putting off by deciding to devote only 10 minutes to it. This was enough to make me go on and complete it altogether!
February 18th, 2011 at 10:56 am
I’ve reduced my work from 100% to 80% as I thought less is sometimes more. And I feel better. I used CVS is never equal to BVS. And now I will start practicing CVS2BVS 100 times per day to see improvements, to see quantum leaps.
February 18th, 2011 at 7:07 am
I still need to improve, but I have started to manage computer use better. Reading books more. Stepping away from distractions and temptations.
February 15th, 2011 at 3:45 am
In writing–a book–sometimes I wait a couple days thinking there is a better way; when I come back to the cvs I find a switch to bvs almost without realizing I’ve done that. The paragraphs just get better. Now I’m going to focus on accepting that a bvs is waiting to appear.

January 24th, 2011 at 7:59 am
my cvs was feeling overwhelmed by the amount of things I had to do this last weekend with a variety of friends
My BVS was to acknowledge that by seeing these people i was enlisitn the help of others to make other tasks easier
January 17th, 2011 at 3:29 am
My cvs was that I was completely overwhelmed with tasks following moving home . My BVS was to write down 10 most imortant tasks and then work through the list focusung on each task . It worked wonders .

Suffer from insomnia had given up trying things to help CVS. BVS revisited the issue I have now been testing 5 new ideas for the last few days with net result more sleep and triggers that help me to sleep within 10 minutes and also (extra benefit) have a new tool to lower my resting heartbeat for when I’m stressed
January 9th, 2011 at 5:23 am
CVS – Not being able to spend quality time with my son
2 BVS – Getting to spend much more time with him, in next couple of months.
December 27th, 2010 at 8:38 am
I’ve had rather desultory results from a website I had set up and two things occurred to me…the first was the quote “…80% of success is just turning up.” so for me, that meant, the website existed. I’d gone that far (turned up) but then hadn’t really done anything else (the final 20%). I applied both cvs2bvs and the uncheck/check part of your teachings and am now committed to a proper marketing plan for the site. The plan is affordable and trackable and the 10x allows me to focus on the potential for a BVS. I’m stoked and will continue to apply the bvs.
December 25th, 2010 at 2:25 am
I’ve used CVS2BVS for revising a presentation I’m preparing to deliver next month. I’ve used concepts and insights of this soft ware and the work in sin progress.

I have been preparing my personal budget for next year over the past few days. I was getting a little gloomy as to how tight it all looked and was ready to give in to feeling it was all a bit crap. Then, on reflection I realised a better way to look on this was to recognise that even fairly small increments in income – the sort that are easy to find/ arrange- would make many of the budget items much easier to achieve. So from a view that lead to a frankly despondent outlook to a view that provides a lot of energy to get stuck into it and make it happen.

I spoke to others and I now have a much better wat to move forward.

i honestly have not used CSVTOBVS in the last few days, except for now trying to find an answer to this question.
November 30th, 2010 at 10:27 am
Stopped in my weekly planning meeting to ask ‘what would be a better view from my client’s perspective?” I asked it outloud, without even thinking about what the outcome might be and ended up with a new pre meeting agenda that goes out to the client and yes – I’m expanding on this question to all of my meetings – 10X per week!
November 23rd, 2010 at 10:58 am
I often find myself watching TV to relax after a day’s work. One program leads to another (I blame my comfortable sofa) and before I know it I’ve spent a good few hours watching stuff I have gained nothing from, other than a bit of entertainment. In the last few days when I’ve found myself starting to watch a TV program, I ask myself if I’m going to gain anything productive from this program. If the answer is no, I have managed to switch off the TV and instead have done something productive.

I have always enjoyed looking out my second-storey bedroom window. The view isn’t all good – lots of shabby iron rooftops and messy backyards, but there are also some trees and views of city skyscrapers in the distance. Since my neighbours built a second-storey addition, however, a large section of the view has been blocked by their courrugated iron roof. When the extension went up it looked worse than I had anticipated, and I was very upset about it. However, this is literally a current view that I can change to a better view by simply looking at the whole scene rather than focussing on the object of my disappointment – the new roof. And when I do this I realise that the percentage of the view that has been obscured is relatively small – about 20% of the total – and that in fact it has only blocked only the least attractive part of the scene. So this BVS is 80% beter than its CVS, and I can easily practice this at least ten times a day – every time I look out the window.

My thoughts were fixated on games, then I took up another hobby of going to a parkour gym. Its better than spending time and money on kid games.

October 12th, 2010 at 10:39 pm
When fixing a ceiling I ran into a difficulty with the way I thought I would fasten a wooden board. Instead of persisting in the same manner, I found another solution which in the end was much easier and simpler. All it took was to turn a part of the fixation materials 90 degrees.
October 6th, 2010 at 7:29 am
I sat down and really listened to my team of work colleagues to find solutions to come up with a bvs together for better requirements gathering.
September 28th, 2010 at 5:40 pm
Five minutes ago I took the cvs2 bvs process through with a client & he immediately responded by recognising his need to take immediate action. Thank you
September 10th, 2010 at 9:39 pm
Issue at work with recalcitrant work colleague, rather than ignoring the situation as I usually do I made a concious decision to explore the other person mindset, spend 10 minutes talking to him and found that he had an issue with the way a particular procedure operated – together we slightly modified the procedure and made a significant change for both of us in terms of communication and understanding. The procedure had been annoying him for 5 years!
August 29th, 2010 at 5:32 am
i dont look at problems as problems . i try understand them. its easier now. thank you

Faced with a dilemma on what to do following my wife’s wish to return to work following maternity leave I used the cvs2bvs switch to come up with a lasting solution to this predicament which was 10 times better for both of us.

I have often considered how hard it can seem to save money but on the other hand we had a fantastic honeymoon in the summer and went to some places that we may never see again, or at least not for a very long time.
August 6th, 2010 at 4:12 pm
I re-evaluated the CVS 2 BVS thus calming the mind and realising that the answer was not going to appear in a state of stress at 3am in the morning. Hence by mid morning I was clear minded enough to have a solution 10 times better, than if went with the 3am stress out one.
August 6th, 2010 at 9:24 am
I have noticed a slump in the mood of some people around me in the work place. Negative energy can be nasty and contagious… I used the CVS to BVS to prop a colleague up to help them to realise that things really weren’t so bad. and reassess their perspective.
For me, the BVS is something that I think about now in my car on the way to work, during the day, and on the way home. THe BVS times 10 is the next step.
July 15th, 2010 at 11:57 pm
There was a piece of work that I needed to get done on the outside of my building (water proofing of the outer walls of my flat) which I hesitated to get done feeling diffident because I was given to understand that it would involve letting down workers with the help of ropes from the rooftop (five storeyed building).
That was then – more than a year back. When my attention was drawn to the problem again this year after a few showers and seeing wet patches on the inside due to seepage, I took a totally different view this time around and have gone in for a massively expanded operation of water proofing an entire wing of the building rather than just the room where I had seen seepage.
The work began today, went on the whole day and will continue for another two days is what I understand.
Ofcourse I must admit that I have been forced to take the step due to certain circumstances.
July 12th, 2010 at 7:12 pm
A few days ago the electricity went out.
Instead of fuming for a few hours til it came back on, I used cvs2bvs and took the opportunity to spend some “non-electronic” time with my son.

Re evaluated my present view of my employment position using due regard for both sides, being honest with myself re my views and standpoint, created a new bvs based on a better standpoint.
Measured by the fact that I haven’t told them to stick it yet!

I am using CVSTOBVS in my behaviour and thoughts. Am trying to inculcate CVSTOBVS as a habit. I believe it helps to change limiting behaviours and thinking process.

May 18th, 2010 at 10:15 am
My current focus is on looking for a new corporate role for myself. This course could not have come at a better time as I am able to use the concepts and practical aspects in my search.
Recently I simply made contact with a long time associate, which has led to an interview with a very large company, which may result in a great outcome for me.
Testament to cvs 2 bvs, instead of just looking on seek, there are many many other ways to more effectively seek an opportunity.
I am motivated to find more, since this one was so successful.
April 18th, 2010 at 6:46 am
I used cvs2bvs to find a naturally derived extract which hasproperties I was looking for. I searched five plants of a certain family and could not find what I was looking for. I decided to look at ten more plants and finally found a candidate.

I used it to design a financial solution for a client. I couldn’t see this soluntion at first, but after numerous cvs2bvs cycles, I had this “Aha!” moment and “saw” it. It’s amazing because I’m combining 2 products together in a way that I’ve not seen before nor heard anyone else discuss. But, now I look at it and think, “Why haven’t I heard about this solution before?”.
Cvs2Bvs is awesome!
No, I mean helpful!
Actually, I meant energizing!
Really, I’d say intuitive!
Furthermore, it’s clever!
A better way to say it, is “It’s better!”
In reality, it’s flexible.
In hind sight, it’s “better” becoming “current”.
More clearly, it’s eye-opening.
Finally, I’m sure there’s a better way to think!
March 28th, 2010 at 10:19 pm
I was thinking about getting a financial advisor i went through teen pros and cons and then thought of some better alternatives. i didnt like the idea at first but really came around after looking at all the pros but after looking for some better alternatives i came up with an even better idea and that was to do a short course via distance on accounting. it was great to actually sit down and seek a better view especially when i was so against it in the first place
March 3rd, 2010 at 11:36 am
I resolved an argument with my wife over our different views of kitchen cleanliness by seeking a BVS. Rather than digging in with the perspective that I will clean to my comfort level but no more, I agreed I would hit a few specific marks (e.g., wipe down the surfaces) and suggested she ask me to clean further if she is unsatisfied with the condition of the kitchen when she sets out to use it for cooking.

I used cvs2bvs to get my son to become a better server in tennis. I had him serve 10 x 10 on each side with 10 balls. When he began practice he was servicing good ,but when he finish he was servicing great. cvs2bvs.
January 29th, 2010 at 2:43 am
I got resolution to a challenge I had in my home by using cvs2bvs.

Yesterday I was having a discussion with some family members who run a business. They were struggling to find a way to promote the business in the area….we brainstormed….but only a few suggestions were offered….so I mentioned CVS to BVS and we get pushing ahead, not just being satisfied with a couple of suggestions but improving on the ones mentioned and then adding more and more…CVS to BVS….keep pushing the boundaries for better ideas….
January 18th, 2010 at 6:05 pm
I enjoyed this statement: “the time is always there, BUT you only see it when you actually look for it. Think about that for a moment!”
I have a friend who is facing a wonderful opportunity, yet he holds, in his CVS, some reservations. I am working to help him see a BVS through asking active questions about how this wonderful opportunity may enhance his: travel experience; leadership challenges; world understanding; fitness; intellectual powers; and, new friendships.
Our journey from his CVS2BVS is not complete.
January 13th, 2010 at 2:30 pm
I explained to my daughter that her current view of taking things from her younger brother without asking was unacceptable. I have now explained that the better action is that she must give him a replacement item if she takes his. It is all very amicable now.
December 14th, 2009 at 4:51 pm
I recently moved into a new area and had been frequenting the local take-out shop, on the weekend I took a leisurely drive around the area and found more take-out options that were far superior to where I had been going. There is always a BVS out there if you are prepared to look for it.
December 14th, 2009 at 2:23 am
I am using the CVSTOBVS software to change the way I think and do things. Instead of watching tv all morning, I decided to spend 10 minutes reading my email and catching up on some more SOT lessons (I am rather back logged).
In addition CVS2BVS is starting to creep into my consciousness when I am at work or just lazing around at home.
December 12th, 2009 at 1:54 am
I noticed my assistant’s performances is droping. A project that should be finished two months ago was delay. I observed, provided supports even split out jobs to help her dliver this project on time as we both agreed. More and more she is loosing attention from works. Instead of trowing emotions at her. Last week, I decided to have a casual talk. I found her feeling of unachievment demotivates her. My assistant has been an achiever in studies until got promoted last year, she can’t accept failure. I guided her to look at different side what she learned from not always achieve. Then guided her to set more realistic objectives, split works into parts and monitor her milestones. We plan works together. She is back to her normal self again.
December 10th, 2009 at 9:10 am
In going to see a number of clients ,at successive interview times, every hour …9am,10am,11am, and 1.00pm I purposely spoke for the possibility of early or late to each client …to check out their flexibility and availability ….within that timeframe.
And I obtained the understanding that minor change could happen.
In the event…the client for the first appointment had been ill throughout the night, and was not available …so, I moved readily on to the next appointment ,but……cvs to bvs……..spent 15 minutes talking with my wife in the car in companionable conversation …THEN went in a little early to the second appointment …..and all was well.
Following on from there… I was early again for the next appointment .
This one took a little longer because of issues needing to be discussed …….and I had prepared well for that possibility.
A timely lunch at leisure was next, and then the final appointment ……which was open-ended ,allowing time for the client (a new one) to work with me in a positive way .
Proactively using the CVS to BVS switch allowed me to MENTALLY
THINK THROUGH and MANAGE my day …..I had escaped from fixed times , the rush , and the stress of a wet and busy day ….by simply seeing the day and its possibilities in a series of different ways .
Another concrete example….instead of staying in a MOTEL, (privacy of facilities) we decided Camping Ground (communal facilities)……to change the patterns of what we usually do, and met international travellers from France …… resultant .creative bilingual conversations were most enjoyable , and new acquaintances made.

It is so important to give us the 100 reminders daily. Thanks!
November 24th, 2009 at 8:51 am
I remember talking to my daughter about handling money, specifically, that there is a the right way to handle money and that there is a wrong way to handle money, that was my CVS.
Today, my BVS is that there is no wrong or right way to handle money, my BVS today is however you choose to handle money will simply produce a result. So you choose to handle money in a way that gives you the result want.

I used to see, why different people behave always certain ways then I concluded that due to their back ground they are bound to do so instead of changing people it is better to develop a working plan.
November 2nd, 2009 at 11:23 am
We had a concert arranged for the end of seniors week, November 1st, and we had very few responses, so our cvs was that nobody might come and we would be embarassed. The bvs was that a lot of people would come (x10 would have been nice), so we persisted with promoting and put on a happy face – result – good attendance (not x10, but enough!), happy audience, good PR for us.
November 2nd, 2009 at 8:58 am
I’m currently in an amateur play. It’s a comedy and while I’m getting laughs from the audience I used cvs2bvs thinking to find more laughs. My goal was, more laughs by 10 times. And it worked, maybe too much because my fellow actors were cracking up on stage this weekend. Any way it was fun and liberating.
October 27th, 2009 at 1:34 pm
I think I’ve started automatically using it so a conscious specific example doesn’t spring to mind. I am trying to avoid negative thinking and that of those around me so I automatically think how can I think better about this, think cleaner, clearer, what’s the best possible way of looking at this, what’s the best possible outcomes? How can I raise my game here?
I’m not a millionaire yet or got the job of my dreams but I feel really good in myself mentally and more in control. I had significant surgery four months ago which impacted way more than I had anticipated on my frame of mind. Practising these software models really has helped me get on top of my thinking rather than the other way round. I have a different perspective on challenge.
October 26th, 2009 at 9:56 pm
With career transition concerns on my mind I have committed to asking a different question to broaden the answers I receive on the next steps…
x10 variety of questions is the daily rule…(instead of the same one!)
this is proving to move me into a better view of the situation…
October 26th, 2009 at 4:28 pm
I played golf yesterday and our cvs was not good but I could visualise us getting better and we all played better from that point and won
October 25th, 2009 at 12:26 pm
I was at a conference where I delivered a paper. A colleague could not attend so I used cvs to bvs to volunteer to give his paper. I now have a closer relationship with this colleague that may create future joint project opportunities as a consequence. I also learnt by seeing how he put together his presentation.
October 13th, 2009 at 8:01 am
Relooking at the internet to market and sell certain products after dismissing this idea a number of years ago. I can now see how we may be able to make it work without competing with existing customers.
October 12th, 2009 at 10:40 pm
The current prototype I have created is 10 times better than the last one! Now we can move forward to preproduction samples.
October 12th, 2009 at 7:19 pm
CVS2BVS has become a daily thinking habit. I find that I subconsciously (or consciously) evaluate what I’ve achieved each day. I now find it easier to accept the things I can’t change and concentrate on finding 10x better ways to change the things I can change. The ability to see things from different angles has given me the mental capacity to recognise problems I can fix as challenges.
October 9th, 2009 at 11:32 am
Excercising. For a long time I felt that I just never had the time. On looking at my lifestyle and what I needed to do to make the time, I realised that if I gave up on television (not that there is really anything worth watching any more) I had more than enough time to do my one hour a day.
October 7th, 2009 at 8:06 pm
I’m currently going through the annual project development crises/nightmare/challenge and this week have a better view of the situation than at the same time last week.
October 7th, 2009 at 2:44 pm
No real specific examples, except to continually reinforce that all outcomes can be better, every knock back is an opportunity to rethink and replan.
September 28th, 2009 at 6:36 pm
I was in the situation I normally will just react and try to control in dealing with my 17 years old teenager son behaviors, often it was very frustrating in trying to get my message across to my son, because he is too old not to know what is right from wrong and he is too young to understand the biological and psychological changes are taking place in his life. I would do the best I can and when the issue is not resolve I either give up in communication or keep the anger, frustration and hurt inside me, try not to show my own frustration toward him. I was feeling stuck with the fixed way of looking at the cvs. Then the magical words just pop into my mind CVS2BVS right then and there I just switch, then I noticed in that very instance every habitual thoughts and self-talk conversation and the same strategy in my head in dealing with my son completely went silence for a minute and I feel a sense of relief and a sense of trust and confidence that there always a BVS in any given situation provided I give my attention to look for the BVS at that given moment at hand. It was a liberating and powerful experience for me. Thank you for sharing this awesome technique and possibilities to the world. I know for who/whom ever use it will change their lives for good and forever. We all can make a better world for all of us with this useful tool and for the next generation to come. Whenever specifying any attributes of something I want to work on, I setup columns for the Current (=cvs), Desired (bvs) and Best known anywhere (=Stretch) values of the attribute.
I must admit I got this originally from reading a book by Tom Gilb, but its still CVS2BVS.

at boxing class. current view was to not get hurt and focus on the negative, better view is the exponential growth to come out of it, train, be fit, break into small pieces. trust in my hard work and preparation and team mates. this will create life long skills in approaching tough situations, no down side, i might be banged uo for a few days, but that is life. your bound to get banged up a bit in life, its only temporary, the clouds will clear. 100% more positive view.

I do yoga breathing to try and fully relax and relax well. I often found that I would lose concentration and let my mind drift. Hence my mind would fill up with distractions and I felt that often after trying to relax I wasn’t getting the most out of it.
If I do yoga breathing now, I count to 100. So I will have done at least 100 deep breathes. (Very good for relaxation). The fact that I have to count means I never lose concentration. This means that my mind doesn’t fill up with junk along the way. I’m just counting. Plus, I now say CVS as I breathe in and BVS when I breathe out.

Trying to get physically fit and have been running, but running started getting old so I have taken up other ways to get fit and change up my routines every few days. CVS2BVS.

On four occasions in the last four days with four different people, arrangements to meet have been cancelled at the last minute. On each occasion, I felt sad and let down. However, i thought about how I should view the situation, either in a negative or a positive way and on each occassion i found a better way of viewing it. I chose not to take it personally, (even though that was difficult, i’m sure my friends and family weren’t all ganging up on me).
BVS 1: I thought on each occasion that the change in arrangement was not avoidable and each had a valid reason.
BVS 2: We will have the chance to make other meeting times and perhaps will prove to be a better experience
BVS 3: I used my free time to catch up on emails and also to just relax, and also do a little thinking…..
BVS 4: I’d prepared dinner early, and there was plenty of leftovers
BVS 5: I’d put the fire on early, so the house was cosy & warm
BVS 6: Four opportunities to use CVS2BVS

BVS: talk with friend about my thinking
BVS: looking for different type of apartment
BVS: looking in several areas
BVS: house inspection is a good idea
BVS: check my capability to loan
BVS: keep looking for BVS
Now, I am open-minded and not emotional attached.

cbs : A friend needed a place to stay for 2 months until he purchased his home, and I made an agreement that he housesit and take care of students in exchange for a place to stay. It will work out for the both of us.

Hello,
Following various incidents I no longer enjoy my job (after 30 years as a geologist)
I use cvs to bvs to constantly remind myself that the current situation can and will change with some positive input from myself.
This could be be either
- get over the current attitude and start enjoying my work again
- get out and do something else
Either way is better than just sitting still and moping.

I never use the first solution I have to a problem. The first solution only proves that the problem can be solved. Better solutions necessarily follow.
The example: My wife wants to automate our finances as much as possible, and noticed our bank allows you to download your account information in formats for Microsoft Money and Quicken. I’m all for automation, but decided to see if there were a free, open-source equivalent. Gnucash uses both Money and Quicken file formats, is free, and I can volunteer to help with the documentation to improve my understanding of its functions. Win, win, win!

Nothing earth shaking, lots of little ones, two examples:
How to get a hot take away meal to a friend in hospital, going across town in peak hour traffic with road works on the preferred route. BVS: Thermos flask and a creative route. Result: Quicker (will use this route again) and food still hot (much enjoyed by friend who’s over hospital food!)
How to fit two geographical spread, important social commitments into Mother’s Day. BVS: I provided the food for the second commitment for a lunch party at mother’s home in order to buy some time instead of extra travelling to a restaurant. Result: Both engagements kept on time. Will need to evaluate mother-tiredness factor and come up with another BVS if a party is held in mother’s home again.

In building a new Training Curriculum I have reviewed the situation (CV) and applied a different framework to enhance the opportunity for the curriculum to develop and change as the organisation does. This is still in the development phase, each time I go back to the plan I find new and innovative concepts (BV) to add to the framework to ensure there is a flexible structure that can encourage creativity & continuous improvement. Now I just need to apply this concept to my personal life!

A design competition entry. I worked for at least 12 hours last Saturday on a design only to realise at around 9pm that the solution was rubbish. After sleeping on it I came up with a better option that was at least 10 times easier to design and draw, I could do it in an hour or 2 instead of a day or 2, and the solution looks a lot better and addresses the problem I wanted to solve much better. It is difficult to measure the subjective components, but in time alone the new solution is a least 10 times better, actually, it might be 20 times faster to draw.

I started with a simple task – I feel overwhelmed by the next step, so I threw out 10 things, donated 10 things to charity and put 10 things out of sight. I intend to do this every week for the next 10 weeks, to clear my home & office of clutter. I am now applying CVS2BVS to the website I am building focusing on my 10 key strengths.

Mostly the way this has been helping me is by prompting me to pause and change my communications at work. So I am actively not defending my opinions in my communications with my colleagues and endeavouring to facilitate conversations that are geared towards seeking out a better way forward or that generate options. In this way, I am more responsive to the needs of clients and projects.

I am training for a triathalon and was swimming 1.5kms lap after lap. That is the required distance for the swimming leg. I found a triathalon trainer who’s very cheap. Went to training with a squad and swam 3kms without thinking about it. I was willing to see a better way of training. It felt like such a leap.
Also in my current relationship I can see myself defending a opinion or old way of seeing the situation so that gives me freedom to then be willing to look for a BVS!.

I lead a time which is in charge of the development and deployment of a new software application which we had to build due to an emergency because the currently application was breaking up and was not handling the load of information which was hitting it. We were instructed to build the new one to reflect in functionality and structure the old one. It took us a month to develop the first release candidate which we put in production without any quality and performance check. So we were production testing in real life. This brought lots of pressure to the team because we were doing hot changes to the code. Although the starting code was a copy of the original I convinced my team to put improvements which were not in the original tools at least two per week outside all the bug fixes that needed to be done. The first week was bad, the second week got a little better, by the end of the first month the tool was performing somewhat better than the previous tool. During the second month the improvements put into the tool made it noticeably better than it’s predecessor being able to handle more than double the information we use to handle in a monthly basis.
If we had not looked to move to a BVS via improvements on the new tool we would not had handle during the third month a volume of information superior to what was handle entirely last year.

I hunted a big sale for almost 4 months due to the economic downturn here, nobody is making big decisions, I used CVS2BVS in my mind constantly to ensure a positive Karma flow to my client. it worked, we also implemented CVS2BVS here in the factory prior to winning this terriffic order, we had the floor guys work p0ositively and confidently on the the infrastructure to implement the changes we needed to have in order to win a job this big. it worked because we all believed.

I’m working on a new set of reports (a dashboard of statistics for executives and managers). It’s a new project for and I currently don’t have all the tools I need to do the job. So, each day, I’m adding multiple pieces to the project and I’m also searching for new tools that will help me make it even better. I haven’t specifically measured anything about this project, but I’m about 75% finished with the first version.

CVS2BVS has to better assess my current (career) situation and has helped me to realise that a number of new directions exist that I would not have recognised as real possibilities a few weeks earlier. Now, my focus is on taking actions which create momentum.

I am currently negotiating jobs with 2 prospective employers and have decided that I am not willing to settled. At each step I have presented how what I am asking for will enhance their programme and team while also meeting my goals. This approach has been working so far with one group and not the other which has also helped me sort out which group I think will support my long term goals. By focusing on bvs I keep changing my cvs and so on.

I have used CVS2BVS at work with what started as a perfectly good idea seemed to grow and soon became a BVS. I said the trigger “CVS2BVS” to myself and I was away. It tells you that the current situation may be ok but always seek a better one. When things are running smoothly we can sometimes just cruze along, CVS2BVS teaches us to improve no matter how good things seem.

I write articles for a broker mentor forum. I write the article complete, walk away for 20 minutes then come back and ask myself how I can improve the article to make it better for the reader. In content, understanding and use-ability. Since I’ve been doing that I’ve had great feedback from the readers.

I have managed to stretch/warp time, I complete a whole list of tasks (looks like a days work) and I actually did it all in only 2 hours. I think the bvs is getting into other things as well, but because I have been focussing on the effective use of energy, this is where it manifested first.

I had an unpleasant phone call from a woman preceding an event of was to attend yesterday. She tried to make me feel guilty & take the blame for something she did. Plus another women who would be there was being very demanding & agressive. I had been wanting to find time to buy a car so i skipped the event & bought my new car. A much more pleasant experience for myself.
Learning this: Being who I really am by being true to myself. Doing what I love to do in order to have what I really desire.
January 28th, 2009 at 7:24 pm
Nowadays, whenever I think about something I make adeliberate effort to find a better answer or solution for my thinking purpose. Another important change I have noticed by doing this is that I try to perceive a situation from different aspects and this has helped in removing the rigidity of my thinking.

I used CVS2BVS to escape conflictual situations. Instead of facing back and step in conflict or let the situation block, I used cvs2bvs to think together with the other part, broad our perception of the situation and generates solutions. It works very well and helps to act further.
January 7th, 2009 at 4:25 pm
I used the cvs2bvs quickly today when faced with a process problem. I was reviewing data recently transferred into an updated Risk Management Database which will be several days work. Instead of ploughing into it I used the cvs2bvs technique to generate a number of alternative ways of tackling the issue. I will admit I didn’t come up with 10 alternatives but had several options to review. I estimate the small amount of time taken to plan the approach will save me at least a days work.

I am currently looking at the past 4 years of results in my company and am trying to use this data to assist with our learnings and to grow in the future.
I am now thinking cvs2bvs not just taking and acting on the first thoughts that the data may suggest.

I’ve always said that if I had one wish to be granted, I would wish for the Right Attitude, to, whatever the situation. It’s worked for me for more years than you would guess. I’m disciplined in this.
Now, my wish is for, not the Right Attitude but for a Better Attitude. So simple. cvs2bvs.

I’m working on or part of a number of projects of varying time frames, requirements and responsibilities. I’ve listed 8 of them allocating a CVS2BVS for each. This has helped me identify task lists for each list and I’ve deadlined completion of all task lists by 10am in 10 days time – 30/10/08.

I am deliberately using CVSTOBVS in the last few days and helped me to
-start my day early by a couple of 10 minutes,
-moderate my food habits
-cut down time wasted on non-productive activities
-initiate work on two works which were outstanding for some time
I am persisting to use CVSTOBVS to discipline myself to delay gratifications, take responsibility for life, dedicate to truth and to do the balancing act . Also, I am empowering like minded people to empower themselves and others and so on.

I am currently developing my website and in the past, have used one source to start it and improve it. Now I am looking at several different ideas from the internet as well as talking to another web designer in South Africa. This has opened another opportunity I am looking at to build on.
In addition, I am repeating the phase CVS2BVS at least one hundred times and more a day, while driving, before falling off to sleep and during the day.

When interacting with my daughter. She has a hard time getting out of the whining phase and I recently used cvs2bvs to help her.
After she experienced a negative emotion (whining, anger, frustration.) I asked her…ok did that help at all? She said no. I asked her wouldn’t you rather be doing something more fun than whining, being angry, frustrated? She said yes.
This way she is not stifled and I redirect her attention to a bvs and we move on. I feel that before she did not know how to handle the frustration (me either!) and she could not get past it.
The most important thing I teach her in home school and conducting herself is paying attention, not just to me but to situations around her (in the real world you might only get info. once!) patience and practice.
All she has to do is follow instructions (peel the orange?), have patience to understand and then practice it. If she misses the info. the first time she has to practice asking ‘could you repeat that’?
She has giving up saying ‘this is hard’ or ‘lets do something else’. She has laser focus all of a sudden and the negativity is at a minimum.
She is five years old! I myself have to pay attention to her needs, be patient and practice EVERY DAY.
Now we can have 10x more fun.

My router died Saturday morning of Labor Day weekend. I spent a little time thinking of all the things I wanted to get done on the Net, and how since most of my software is now internet-based my laptop was little better than a brick till Wednesday, which was the soonest the router could arrive.
Then I made a conscious choice to see this as a deserved and needed break from the Net, a change of perspective. Although I didn’t use the CVS2BVS switch , I decided not to hang on to the CVS — and it did indeed make my weekend 10 times better!

I am going thru a change at work. The clients are reorganizing everything they can under the guise of saving money. They have manufactured complaints against me and my crew in order to justify their obvious intentions. I have not given into emotions and have decided on examing my performance as a supervisor and making improvements in order to prevent some of those complaints on my next assignment. In so doing I realized that two 40 hour jobs might not be necessary. I could have been making as much money in 60hrs as I have in 80hrs and performed better on my main job, and I would’ve had more personal time for myself.

With the cost of fuel these days, rather than complain about my tank emptying in front of my eyes, and the $ evaporating away I take a BVS and turn off the car engine when at traffic lights or railway crossings for any length of time. It has improved my cars fuel consumption by 10%, and also the money left in my wallet by the same %.

Starting to write out a personal “plans and goals” document to move my life from CVS 2 BVS
June 2nd, 2008 at 3:44 am
At work the departments assistant manager gave me a new task that would take most of the day to complete, to be done each day. At first I assumed that she was not respecting my current role with the company, which I would have to give up completely. I thought she done this out of some sort of animosity toward me personallly but a BVS was that she felt that I was someone she could count on to not only complete the task, but to complete it well.

A person close to me was very upset. Her husband has left her I said the phrase current view of situation to better view situation, CVSTOBVS, over and over while being in the situation. This helped me to think of positive ways forward to help her. Very soon the situation changed to a better view of the situation, she felt lots better. Her tears dried and albeit will only be short term until the next step, i`m sure this process will also help her.

when i was at the club lol..i used it to have more fun because one the people that i went with was kind of bringing everyone down so, i thought how can i make this night 10x better? So, i started to dance really crazy and just let loose and forget everything that was going on and the people that were with me followed suit and we had a blast after that. CVS2BVS is so unpredictable, but it works wonders!!

May 20th, 2008 at 6:39 am
Because of the price of fuel I have purposely cut my speed to a maximum of 50 MPH
This really does not increase my travel time by much and it looks as if I am saving about 10% on my fuel costs
After this first evaluation I will see what effect a further reduction to 45 MPH

Result after 2 days, 20 calls, I now have work that is more rewarding, physically, mentally, and financially BVS.

I just came back from attending a Professional Training Seminar to better my skills. I felt that my current situation was not good enough and I decided to take this one year course to improve myself. I will have a coach to guide me throughout the year with time and schedule and also a buddy to kick my butt when I slack.
April 7th, 2008 at 3:09 pm
My current view of where I’m living is a former BVS. I live in a place that is much nicer than I lived not long ago. But still I’ve come up with a BVS that it would be nicer to live in more than one beautiful place and travel back and forth in between them.
March 30th, 2008 at 5:30 am
CVS – I didn’t know anything about management science
BVS – I searched for my college tutor to help me with this problem.
BVS – He helped me (when I asked him) by giving me access to all of he notes on this subject in Powerpoint presentations, lecture by lecture, for the last year.
BVS – I downloaded these and printed these off
BVS – I can learn definitions and imprint the concepts stored in them on my brain by using tenpower!
CVS – I had a load of petty tasks to do that I let pile up because I had no focus
BVS – I used 10power (took ten minutes to make a really long list)
BVS – decided to take six tasks and spend ten minutes on each (tenpower!) That way if I spent ten minutes on each I should get six things done and dusted in one hour
BVS – it turned out that I had six things in the go for the hour (while one thing ‘was in the oven’ I started the next thing on the list).
BVS – I have got a lot done today. By alternating all the things I had to do by spending ten minutes at a time ensuring that each task was on the road to completion, I got a lot done with very little real effort or loss of attention.

I live with my husband and three sons. He cooks and I clean and do the laundry. Using CSV2BSV we now have a cooking and cleaning rota involving the whole family. Initially I just wanted to find a way of creating less work for myself but the oucome has improved tenfold.
1. I no longer feel totally responsible for all the chores.
2. My sons are learning to cook.
3. They are getting lots of positive feedback for their cooking.
4 I’m really enjoying the time we’re spending when we’re cooking together.
5 My husband is communicating more with our sons.
6. We’re eating round the table again and enjoying talking to each other.
7 I don’t have to nag anymore.
8. I am being treated with more respect now everyone understands how much work is involved in running the household.
9 I have more free time to spend on my writing.
10 I’ve just received an advance on my novel and I am confident that I do have time to reflect and write and produce an excellent book.

A couple of weeks ago while running my father’s business after a long period of being away, I noticed a lot of inefficiency which resulted in wastage of time. I sat down and worked out how we could bring the system back to flow. Using technology and common sense, I eliminated a lot of clutter and got the business back up to speed. Customer care service efficiency sky-rocketed and we managed to serve more with a lot less effort and money. A clear example of shifting our attention from current view situation to better view situation.
March 3rd, 2008 at 12:49 pm
I have used the CVStoBVS as a step in a process to improve my clients business performance. The business had no growth for three years.
February 27th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
I have been using CVS2BVS (before even encountering this website) in managing personal finances, developing an excel spreadsheet to record income & expenditure, and plan my future.
My goal (i.e. BVS) is to save up a sufficient deposit to buy a house.
I have also expanded the spreadsheet to include listing assets and savings history. Applying CVS2BVS allowed me to identify wasteful expenditures, which motivates me to eliminate them!.
I have been continually refining it, using the data in the spreadsheet to model various scenarios (i.e imagining BVSs)
What started as a 1 worksheet spreadsheet now has 6 worksheets, and is growing continually as I strive to implement CVS2BVS programming.
All of this has helped me understand how much i can save as a deposit to buy a house, how quickly i can do it, and how easily or otherwise I can service a mortgage.
This means that i can plan how long I need to save enough deposit, and when the time is ripe approach a lender in a position of power & clarity knowing precisely what i can comfortably afford.

CVS to BVS..
Repetition…
I see it as a daily practise rather than just deliberately apply specifically on a situation.
February 23rd, 2008 at 10:25 pm
I looked at my current business model, applied CVStoBVS and then created a better outline for the business.
February 16th, 2008 at 10:15 am
A person close to me was very upset. I said the phrase current view of situation to better view situation, CVSTOBVS, over and over while being in the situation. Just saying this in my mind, like a mantra, kept me from reacting and getting caught up. I remained conscious in our interaction. As I shifted, the other person did as well and so in a matter of minutes rather than days or hours, the situation changed to a better view of the situation.
February 10th, 2008 at 12:54 pm
I have been setting goals for my day and completing the tasks which I have set to do, rather than putting off some for “tomorrow”
February 3rd, 2008 at 11:01 am
This example does not have tangible measurable features and it is still useful to me:
actively thinking/looking for specific activities, features, ways to think that would add to my present way of life rather than single out a particular aspect that could use a BVS without taking into account the consequences on parts that are working well now.
And, if this looks confused: I’m still a beginner!
January 28th, 2008 at 6:52 pm
I had to spend the last two days with a particularly irritating space gluton,
so to keep the peace so the rest of the company could have a peasant weekend I found myself useing CVS to BVS quite freqrently.
Sorry I can’t be specific about the times I didn’t know I wiuld be asked Questions.
January 8th, 2008 at 9:24 am
Yesterday afternoon at about 5.30 I feel into a depression. Approximatley 1 and a half hours later I remembered CVSTOBVS and imagined how I would like my life to be. It took about 10 minutes of this to snap me out of it.
January 7th, 2008 at 4:14 pm
My husband had a business and it is not doing too well so I used the CVS to BVS on him by going over the situation and us both looking at it differently. Feeling better about it and a more psoitive outlook on what to do to keep going.
December 30th, 2007 at 7:18 pm
On school holidays at the moment, but have university work to do. Deciding to get it done sooner so it’s out of the way.
December 24th, 2007 at 10:52 am
It has become easier to step back for that split second and view a situation before beginning to process and seek the solution. The process of solutions has been less stressful more of a gentle motion guiding to a BVS.
December 24th, 2007 at 1:16 am
I’ve been using it for the past two months or so. I am living in another foreign country with a very peculiar society, learning a language I had never ever considered learning before and that has led me into an uncomfortable social isolation. It was driving me crazy until I decided to look at my CVS from another perspective. I have realised that I am actually experiencing one of the best times of my life! And to my surprise this social isolation has been fantastic for me! I’ve been able to think about myself, my way of experiencing things, situations, and people. I never thought I would enjoy what I was hating so much a couple of months ago. That is a very good CVStoBVS.
December 19th, 2007 at 2:37 pm
I used CVS to BVS when writing my final paper. helped a friend feel better when she was feeling down.
December 15th, 2007 at 9:12 pm
I have started doing some writing, and have started planning an escape from the stressful job situation I have found myself in recently. It has helped immensely to channel my thinking because whenever I write something down as the CVS, I can then force myself to see a BVS and write it down! And once that’s in writing, it’s usually possible to see that there are alternative BVSs!!
The exciting thing about this way of thinking is that you can wake up the following day and realise that the BVS you wrote down yesterday has now become your CVS and so you can start keeping a watchful lookout for a new BVS! Once the brain thinks there might just be an even better way to think, it’s amazing to realise just how far you have moved on in a matter of 24 hours!
December 11th, 2007 at 11:42 am
I have loads of books which I have acquired which have not been read – I believe I need to read to improve myself. In the last few days I have read more than 10 times I have previously.
Next I will proceed to destroy the clutter in my life.
December 7th, 2007 at 2:08 pm
Am sorry to say I have not applied it at all. I’m reading this late at night, as I’ve done with the other DFQs, and then go to bed. I find it hasn’t come up during the day. Shall try to integrate it into my thinking from now on. I guess I REALLY REALLY need repetition… I need to be told many times before new things stick. (This last thought of course is a limiting belief that I shall now eradicate. Thanks for helping me see it so clearly.
December 5th, 2007 at 8:19 am
Measurements are difficult since this involves stress, and I can’t measure stress – but yesterday I was incredibly stressed – lots of client work unfinished, no time to do it – and by applying CVS2BVS across the board I was able to minimize stress and workload.
December 3rd, 2007 at 10:52 am
As a Venturer (Scout) each December I go along to one of the annual camps.. well more of a social weekend really.. anyway.. instead of spending the entire time sitting around doing nothing I decided to participate in some of the activities available for at least 10 hours (instead of the maximum 1 hour normally).. I felt much better after the weekend was over..
I also even managed to sleep for 10 hours instead of the usual 0-1 hours.. My BVS made my weekend 100x better..
November 30th, 2007 at 9:19 pm
I havent had much time to consider what situations would work best with a BVS ( i know all situations do, but its fairly difficult this early on) as most of my thinking has been used up with exams.
However I do recall today while i was passing by the World Aids Day festival I went up to one of the financial donor vendors and gave 10 ten dollars instead of one, which I would have normally done. Suprisingly, I felt really good about it after! It was a shame I couldnt stay to listen to some of the bands.
(totally unrealated to business i realise)
November 26th, 2007 at 1:27 am
Preparing for a presentation to my superiors as I typically am fearful of public speaking- it went extremely well! After today’s message, I am putting this on my daily calendar to rememeber to do each day to reinforce that connection!
November 25th, 2007 at 6:11 pm
I have had some negative reviews on my performance this quarter, many of them are to me unfair, as they do not judge me against my “business commitments” or goals, rather against some expectations people have, which I have neither agreed to, nor can actually do.
However this is a CVS and I am finding myself defending it, I am now trying to find a BVS, whereby I can improve myself, the situation and therefore perception.
November 24th, 2007 at 7:32 pm
I have been to the dentist for some bridge work. The work was not carried out very well, so I need a new one and I’m stuck with this one for ages. However, I thought the work would only take two visits (as it did last time) but the dentist is insisting that this one needs to be much better, well fitting etc. So I am wearing the original bridge for 4 weeks (4 weekly visits to the dentist, which I hate)
I could have made my 1st appointment next week at 11.30 and had a relaxed morning or get up early and make my 1st appointment yesterday at 8.30. I chose yesterday at 8.30 as a BVS as this means I already only have 3 visits left (had I left it until next week I would still be awaiting my 1st visit and the road would have seemed much longer). In addition the new bridge will be free and better (BVS) and although I could have moaned and been fed-up for 4 weeks because of it, I flicked my switch and now I’m excited about my new perfect fitting bridge that I will have in 3 visits time (CVS – fedup about the present to BVS excited about the future.

Yesterday, I found myself riding home squished between countless smelly bodies on the Paris metro system. I had just finished a 12 hour teaching day and I was absolutely drained from the work. There was nothing more swimming in my mind than getting home and escaping society, so you can imagine the look on my face when I saw my metro train approach. People were jammed wall to wall, like some wild club in Rio! Except these people were in no clubbing mood. It was angry looks, tired opaque eyes, pungent smells and not a stick of deodorant in the building. I boarded, as exhaused from these “Metro Workers Strike” conditions as the rest of Paris and pushed my way through the groaning crowd. The automatic doors suddenly slammed shut and before I knew what was happening it we were already moving. From that point my CVS was “wooooow, I can’t imagine a sh..tier situation to be in!” A man who apparently forgot to brush his teeth that day was calmly breathing in my face when suddenly something occurred to me. ‘Aha!’ I thought, I can take this moment to write in my journal! Problem solved; BVS accomplished! From that point on my attention was so caught up in recreating that experience on paper that when 45 minutes passed, and the train stopped at my metro stop, all I wanted to do was find the closest place to sit and finish my writing!!
November 24th, 2007 at 12:25 pm
When something is too easy to do, repeatition for instance, sometimes one just not do it. Simply because it is too easy.
So, I set my goals in a negotiation case, simply by repeating the terms from CVSTOBVS as in the prices being offered. It actually worked as normally no one will make such requests because of fear of rejection.
November 19th, 2007 at 12:11 pm
I decided to re do my website
November 18th, 2007 at 8:22 pm
I have thought about it many times when considering a situation – it just seems to come to mind more readily now. I now think at least that there is another way to look at a situation – not that I always find a better solution.
November 7th, 2007 at 10:17 am
invited two friends to cvs2bvs and DFQ.
November 5th, 2007 at 12:59 pm
I was having a heated discussion with my teenage son and realised that we were getting nowhere. There must be a BVS so I slowed my response and took a moment to think about what was happening and started again. Rather than reacting to some of his comments, I chose to find out what was behind them. We stopped fighting and started talking.
October 25th, 2007 at 5:54 am
The worst view is its someone elsa’s fault and you are right.
The other day I had a problem with my T.V. digital box and I tried to find the reason why it wasn’t working right and using
my limited reasoning power I decided because I had some workman come and replace some guttering and the problem
had started from the time they had done the work I had convinced myself that they were to blame as the T.V. cable
ran under the guttering. So I used CVSTOBVS and so I started to investigate the cables inside my house I checked all the cables on my T.V. and the digital box etc. everything
seemed o.k. then by accident I knocked the surge protecter
into the off position switched it back on and the T.V. came
back on perfect. I got a better view of the situation.

Two weeks ago i stopped smoking 20-25 cigarettes a day, approx. $11.40 per day, $79.80 per week. This was my CVS. Today my BVS is i smoke 0 cigarettes, i save $79.80 per week. I feel great. When i struggle i take 10 deep breaths. So know my CVS is i am a non-smoker and my BVS is i will only feel better, be healthier, stronger, fitter and live longer. Oh yes and of course i forgot to mention much, much happier/

Examined all possible bill-paying options to reduce an ongoing, regular cost …sick and tired of paying the “old, established way” but I will now save some dollars as a result.
October 13th, 2007 at 3:14 am
Prevarication has always been one of my ‘sins of omission’, and recently I have been attempting to understand it for what it is or represents, in order to love this state, and leave it.
Asking myself ‘how do you feel?’, (CVS?), several times a day seemed to be of moderate help in that sometimes, having recognised my malaise and the roots if it, I felt in a position to motivate myself, sometimes not.
Since I’m dealing with myself and not with some business idea or cost cutting thinking, it’s difficult to quantify the effects of CVS2BVS in terms of measurements, percentages or dollars, etc.
Nonetheless the introduction of the idea of CVS2BVS to my mind has had a truly palpable effect.
Just a short while ago, the processes that are now presenting themselves to my thinking would have seemed impossible, magical almost!
But because SOT makes it very clear how and why the downloads ‘work’, in a way I am not surprised by results so far.
I’m very pleased for sure, and am eagerly looking forward to whatever lies ahead, so for now I’ll just label it ‘pragmagicl’.
October 12th, 2007 at 12:37 am
In the selection of a final exam topic for the class I am teaching (Systems Analysis). On Tuesday night, I was trying to come up with a fresh way of presenting the material (I’d inherited the lesson plan), when I realized that the material itself needed to be freshened. This has happened at many junctures during this course, but the Final exam, perhaps because it was the ‘FINAL EXAM’ I had a hard time changing – until I realized it was the one item I had not considered.
Often I find this to be key – instead of asking which solution/change is the best and how I’ll make it work, I have to ask myself what I haven’t considered, and what will happen if I change it.

Consulted and considered other peoples ideas rather than assuming that my initial ideas were always right
October 8th, 2007 at 8:27 am
I had a session with my team aimed at finding ways to reduce cost in the business. I explained CVS2BVS and the power of 10 to the team.
I pointed out that our raw materials cost last year was $40m. That meant that our BVS is $4m.
The team was gobsmacked by that magnitude of reduction – but it set the scene dramatically for a very good brainstorming session.

I am going over to the US for a holiday soon and I was shopping around on the net for some Annual Travel Insurance having rec’d an offer from AMEX in the post for their annual travel insurance – cost $595 – I was pretty happy with that (as the trip did include the US) – CVS was therefore $595. I decided to then look for a BVS. Within five minutes I had found an equivalent policy on the net (through Mondial/Allianz) which cost me $100 less – this was my BVS. Yes I am sure that this wasn’t the best solution but it was better than my CVS which was already pretty good !
October 3rd, 2007 at 11:28 am
I have had a dilemma for some time regarding ‘further study’ (I completed my BA at the end of 2002 and said I wanted to be doing more within 5 years). Do I do ‘creative’ study or ‘business’ study? And will I be responding to the right things if I do long-winded degrees?
CVS: ‘Big’ degrees that take a ‘long’ time with big price tags (cf: MBA)
BVS: Start with small steps.. short courses etc that will excite and invigorate research on my own.
I return to the Mark Twain quote: “I’ve never let my school interfere with my education.”
September 26th, 2007 at 9:44 am
I thought I had the solution for a money issue. Someone came up with another idea to solve the problem. Naturally, I would defend my own solution. This time I listened, and it came out that his idea was better than mine. I was able to find a BVS because I was ready to listen.
September 21st, 2007 at 1:39 pm
I am sorry to say, I have not yet intentionally thought of the term, cvstobvs outside of reading this newsletter. I intend to do the repetitions as perscribed.
September 20th, 2007 at 11:02 am
CVS: a client didn’t understand how an advertising concept might translate into another medium.
BVS: I came up with four ways instead of just one to help convince her that it could work. (Not ten? Hey, it’s already over-budget and we’re still early into the CVS2BVS program…) Or I could argue that the ideas were so good, they were ten times better than she expected. Modestly, of course.
September 16th, 2007 at 5:56 am
I have ended a long, bitter and angry angry dispute with one of my best friends by simply moving from CVStoBVS, and I did it automatically! What a joy!
In my line of work, in the past I tended to see people on a superficial level. Now I’m studying them in depth to the good of all concerned.

1 when practising yoga, I hold all positions for the count of 10 (used to be count of 5).
2. when listening to negative chatter from a friend, used cvs2bvs, which changed my reaction and enabled a slightly different dialogue to take place. Very interesting results.

Being upset at the end of a relationship. Using the CVS2BVS method to stop the negative, self pitying thoughts.

I have used CVS to BVS daily to improve my fitness and have just used it to avoid a financial disaster.

I use this technique often with my 10 y/o son. He took offense at a particular political billboard that is posted in our neighborhood. After he explained what bothered him, I did the cvs2bvs with him. It was amazing to see the expression on his face change and see the light go on when he realized that there was another way of perceiving the billboard.

Last weekend I had to attend a family luncheon, a situation in which there always are a number of interpersonal tensions. During the morning at home I did a CVS2BVS x 10 ten times, with the intention of improving my interactions with family members. It worked. At lunch I felt calm and relaxed, and was able tyo convey this attitude to others.

I have succeeded in giving 10% more time to my reading of self-development and spiritual material.
I like it!

My CVS is (since about 3 days back) that I have accidentaly damaged a hard disk on which I had myriads of data. My first reaction was that of panic, immediately replaced by the second reaction: contacting a computer technician, asking him to restore the disk. A technician was willing to attempt it, with no guarantee of success. He would charge me 500 local monetary units just for trying. If there was a slight chance of opening the disk, he would continue after my approval. However, the only guarantee he could give me was that he would charge me 500 monetary units per hour until the job was done, which might take up to one week. Still no guarantee of a successful restoration of the data…
I concluded that a BVS would be taking the disk out of the computer and putting in an empty one costing, incidentally, 500 monetary units… That disk I could format and start using instantly. I will have to try to reconstruct some of the data anyway. The present disk would be kept for a later restoration, for which I have to get an appropriate software. The total cost, however, will be a fraction of what the technician would charge, with the same chance of success.

In a discussion at work, I deliberately spoke of the current view and ecouraged others to ‘see’ another view that proved to be better. We now have consensus on the issue that has saved hours of further discussion and can now lead to action.

Two days ago I experienced a business negotiation which did not go the way I thought it should. I was very disappointed until I used CVS to BVS, and when I used this it enabled me to see the numerous advantages of what had happened. Instead of concentrating on the one opportunity I lost, I am now working on 3 new opportunities which are each better than the first one that I was working on. I will now try and turn these 3 into 10 new opportunities.

While I was writing an assignment for university I did´nt stop till to work on it till I was 10 times more content with it than in the beginning.

We have lately been experiencing customer dissatisfaction about non availability of material ex-stock. Some how the agreed minimum stock is almost never there. So I looked at the data which is available in different files with different persons. But apparently each person looked at his own data. So I created a smaller and composite worksheet (of one page) to give a bvs. This makes everybody’s work simpler and more effective.

Just speaking to people about processes ( CVS ) in respect of payroll processing and freight management throughout the group of companies has me thinking of ( BVS ) in respect of alternative solutions.
August 23rd, 2007 at 10:46 am
I attended an interview the other day and was asked to give my ideas to market and promote an art show dealing with an environmental issue. Obviously you would of course target arts media publications but I mentioned other possible avenues for promotion without mentioning the arts area because to me this was just plain obvious and the person I was speaking to had frequently mentioned his experience in marketing. (He was the MD) The interviewer also jotted these ideas of mine down. After the interview my CVS at the time was that this person probably thinks I don’t know what I am doing, but my BVS is that perhaps this person saw me as someone who thinks outside the square because I do, and hopefully that will set me apart from the rest, or the interviewer did not see these qualities in me, and perhaps I am better off not working there as a better opportunity is around the corner.
August 20th, 2007 at 4:00 pm
While working with my boss, I saw many things that I considered inappropriate, but I deliberately saw a BVS that he is really committed to our work and i left my old CVS that he was not very good at work to a new BVS that he puts his maximum effort and I should not judge him only by the results.
August 20th, 2007 at 10:28 am
I actively spoke to my boss about it when we faced a dicey situation at work.
I wasn’t able to achieve anything I set out to achieve last week in work, so I decided that there was no point to complaining, wnet about the tasks and decided that I knew what career path truly interests me.
August 13th, 2007 at 3:47 pm
Car broke down. Rather than getting down about I went to a bvs and that was a company car would be coming my way. It’s on the way!

I have identified some habitual behaviour when looking at BVS of some relationships. Just seeing the behaviour clearly has opened my eyes to the impact it has on the relationship.
August 12th, 2007 at 10:40 pm
I used it today to aid a colleague with an application for a career change. I thought about her current situation and how she was competing for a position. I felt her application required a more unique hypthesis to test and the ideas came bounding…but you can only lead a horse to water….regardless… I hope she is successful as her passion may win the panel over.
August 11th, 2007 at 5:38 pm
I missed a meeting at work where the most senior people in the organisation took part. Felt very stressed and anxious about the whole thing until I changed to a BVS and thought that it was not the end of the world and it could happen to anyone.
August 10th, 2007 at 5:01 pm
I have begun altering the way I look at my art.
August 10th, 2007 at 1:34 am
Had been looking into business transactions that involve a good amount of money. Have been reevaluating with CVS2BVS multiple times and have significantly lowered the outlay of funds. Time is still on my side and I continue to compute CVS2BVS to increase the savings. Wonderful ! More time to CVS2BVS has been accomplished by my using the CVS2BVS equation.
August 8th, 2007 at 2:33 pm
I was advised my staff and I were to be moved to a different location, through CVS2BVS instead of being negative with the request to move, I used a better view of the situation to improve our new location and obtain for my staff, new computers and better accommodation.
A situation where management wanted us to move so I incorporated a better view of the situation – all were happy.
August 4th, 2007 at 5:31 pm
I had to do a task at work I don’t like,so I switched from cvs to bvs and ended up enjoying it
August 2nd, 2007 at 12:53 pm
Just before I fall in sleep I had a thought about my co-worker who actually upset me very much at work today and I started to create a story followed by emotions and very upsetting fillings. I realise, that basically I do not have any control over my emotions. Looks like I was controlled by my ego. As soon as I become aware of that and applied cvs2bvs I shifted my awareness to very pleasant think and fall in sleep very soon.

I have a rigorous physical exercise program. For several days I noticed increasing pain in my lower back. I disregarded the symptoms and eventually my lower back muscles went into spasm. As a result, I shall not be able to train for at least a couple of weeks. Belatedly, I have developed a BVS that involves reduced exercise and greater attention to symptoms. In future, I must be more alert to opportunities for BVS. A lesson learned.

Our company is in the process of a school & training college project in Kerala. I am helping in the curriculum management & professional development. When I do my work alone, it takes more time to take a decision some times it may not be a proper one (CVS) & when I dicuss with my colleagues about the same I could view it a better decision saving the time & money. This is a switch on in my process which is a learning from CVS2BVS. It is good!

In composing a “tricky” cover letter for a resume, I actively sought other’s opinions (5 to be exact), which I normally would be shy about, and got an offer to review my resume and letter by a broker in the industry where I’m seeking employment. The feedback has been extremely helpful with positive suggestions I would not have thought of on my own.
July 27th, 2007 at 7:52 am
I have acknowledged the logic behind CVSTOBVS and I have implemented the routine of repeting it daily. As a CVSTOBVS I deliberately alter the ways in wich I repeat it. I do this to improve my creative thinking and to use my imagination while doing something monotonic.
Today I increased the number of repetitions by 50 %. The CVSTOBVS could follow the same routine daily, with a general increase.
In a real life example I decided to forward a set of questions to an Embassy in written transcript instead of calling them. I did that intuitively but regognized afterwards that it was a BVS-option.
July 26th, 2007 at 10:40 pm
Yesterday I was nervous before attending a very important meeting. When I was nervous, I’m present that my thoughts are basically negative and fear-based about how the outcome of meeting is going to be. Consider it a CVS2BVS switch – I intentionally replaced my thoughts to positive and love-based visualisation. Eventually, I got what I want out from the meeting.
July 21st, 2007 at 1:50 am
In a litigation situation my opponent was a serving judge. Thus, I was uncertain of a favourable outcome if I had followed the standard grievance redressal system. Instead I dumped the CVS and employed BVS (completely ethical and legal). The accused was punished and I had my claims ensconced.
July 20th, 2007 at 2:59 pm
I took longer to think about a problem with my computer speakers. Giving myself more time to think about the problem, and doing a bit of research on-line, I came up with a way to fault-find the real problem which I now feel confident of fixing. I think I moved from my CVS to a BVS by taking more time and by thinking more laterally about the problem.
July 20th, 2007 at 9:42 am
CVS2BVS.
I am currently investigating any courses I can do that has relevence to my position. Instead of assuming I have all the necessary equiptment to do my job. I am looking for a better or smarter way of doing my job. I want to work smarter not harder.

I have had my bus plan accept and supported by a group who will be funding my company 100% and leaving me with 60% controlling interest and I can buy them out in 2-3yrs.

Now that cvs2bvs software is identified and installed in my necktop,I am deliberately using it now.Just yesterday, I came up with a better
configuration of one particular part being prototyped and still eyeing
for more simpler BVS the matter.
Thanks to CVS2BVS reinforcement.
Today,July 17 2007 this morning, I just saw something in my mind’s eye that does not exist in my previous perception of the same thing
that will definitely generate profit when manufactured.Hopefully one
manufactuturer will be interested.

There are always better ways of doing something if you will consider other possibilities. I have been making a point of considering different alternatives for accomplishing everyday tasks. Don’t always do something the same way simply because you have always done it that way.
July 16th, 2007 at 9:00 am
I sought 3 Other People’s Point of View – As a result I was able to resolve a major issue and then in turn I was in a position to influence a better outcome for two related situations.
It was simply a matter of taking the time to think and to believe in the fact that there was always going to be a BVS.

We currently have a highly intelligent?/forward/spoilt 7 year old grandson staying with us 4 days of the week so he can easily go to school. Most mornings there is a battle of minds over whether or not he can take good toys to school.
Of course we firmly tell him he shouldn’t because there’s a good chance that the toy could get broken or stolen, which is pretty logical to us adults.
But this 7 year old, stubbornly demands his own way, (he also thinks that Pop can fix most things) and says he is not going to school without his toy, so he generally ended up in tears. Some times he won and less often we won.
I took a BVS last Wednesday when I saw that he had put his new ‘plastic toy army tank’, which he was very proud of, in his school bag.
Instead of confronting him, I said nothing and just smiled to myself, and sure enough the toy came home completely wrecked. After learning that Pop could not fix the toy he burst out crying and actually agreed that taking a toy to school was not a good idea. As I write (5 days later) the pieces of the wreck are still on the kitchen table, serving as a gentle reminder.
I am now confident that “taking a better view of the situation” has solved the problem.

Waiting for a response from a bank regarding a loan and thought there must be a better way of doing this.
Came up with a great idea and it worked.

Attended a party at a social club for the first time. Did not have a lot in common with the people, but decided to accept them as they are and just have an enjoyable evening. It ended up being quite a nice evening.
Was finishing an Expression of Interest for an IADB project and felt a bit lost for ideas of what to write. Decided that this was nonsense and that I could actually come up with something worthwhile and the ideas started flowing to me.
I must admit that I did not consciously apply CVSTOBVS, but as long as it is working in my subconsiousness that’s fine with me
June 8th, 2007 at 5:19 pm
Frustrated about not spending anytime exercising & getting sucked into the unmotivated vortex, strapped on the running shoes & took half hour trot around the lake. Whole lot of BVS’s resulted with three marketing campaigns now in the works & two sales proposals cranked out.

I’m writing a rejoinder for a huge report; I hate it! CVS2BVS. I decided to start at the end and work backwards. Looked at it differently…changed my perspective completely…almost done now.

today I was riding my bike and it was pouring rain so I had to stop but instead of getting frustrated and giving up myself and my friends took shelter and a loving couple opended up thier home to us until the clouds cleared and we were able to continue on

I was on the verge of having a discussion about something when i used cvstobvs and found out that the idea i was going to defend could be replaced by a better idea avoiding the discussion alltogether
June 2nd, 2007 at 3:44 pm
I looked at my private library and saw a great deal of chaos. Then I used the CVS2BVS and the order returned to the place. Now I have plenty of space and even my dogs can enjoy the room and take a nap while I read a book. I discarded more than 100 outdated books and replace them with 20 new and useful ones.
May 28th, 2007 at 3:34 am
i was feeling tired and felt discouraged because of it, feeling i was not so well as i had hoped. BVS good to remember how much work i did yesterday and that it is ok to take a rest. cvs, fancy taking time to have a rest – bvs it is ok to have a rest, enjoy it.

stuck as the longest train in the world makes it’s crossing across the road I’m waiting to drive down….but feeling glad I told my mum not to wait, used the time to make some calls and file my nails…there it didn’t take forever and I got some other things done.

Instead of taking the defensive position in what I knew was going to be a difficult meeting, I deliberately decided to switch BVS – the outcomes of which will be to the benefit of the project I’m working on.
Tomorrow I am heading into a ‘creative’ meeting and will leave all my initimate knowledge about the logistics of the project at the door and just concentrate on being creative.
May 21st, 2007 at 6:53 pm
Car broke down -instead of getting down about it I thought of a BVS car started on the turn the next morning!

Instead of staying up late to do my work, i slept early and wake up early. Staying up late will usually affect my day after as i will feel dizzy and drowsy. By waking up early, i am much2 more fresh and and be more productive.

Chopping the firewood is no longer a chore – I now see it as beneficial for my health thru’ exercise and for my well-being when sitting by the fire at night. 10 chops, 10 blocks, 10 minutes effort, 10% chopped, finish in 10 days? maybe.
May 16th, 2007 at 2:33 pm
use it deliberately 10X
May 15th, 2007 at 6:26 am
I found myself getting down/depressed, for a number of highly valid reasons. Upon deciding I was feeling so bad I’d better do something about it, I did a CVS2BVS analysis on a piece of paper – and was rather amazed at just how well it worked – lifting me into a much more productive (rather than debilitating) frame of mine. The problem(s) were primarily perceptual.
THANKS!
I’m a convert!

I looked at the margins we get on a product and and saw with the discount we are giving them we are not making enough and have started the ball rolling how we can get better value on the product.

Using CVS2BVS has greatly increased my daily output of all the jobs that I normally take loads of time doing. Result……I now have a deep sense of accomplishment every day and also have the new ablility to stretch myself into new challenging areas of my personal choice…..growth!! Deep self satifaction and becoming very focused on many new mind opening things!! This is very good!!!

A new job which frightened me. I deliberately concentrated on the positives and was able to start with something like the confidence I needed.
April 30th, 2007 at 12:55 am
I did not want to write an email regarding a personal errand. Instead I wrote ten emails that I had been meaning to for about six weeks, many could have the same message, so I finished it within an hour.
April 29th, 2007 at 9:19 pm
This morning i was looking for something in our kitchen cupboard and there was stuff everywhere and there was no way i was going to find what i was looking for. So i decided to pull all the items out and reorganise it into some sense of order in the process i found about 5 or 6 other things that i was either looking for or didn’t know i had but wished i did. So in the end my BVS was a lot better than my CVS. : )
April 27th, 2007 at 12:01 pm
I have had a few financial challenges I have been dealing with. One to create 144 K passive and another to creat 5 million $’s I had felt challenged and conflicted
After shifting to BVS, I focused on the benefits of each of the above, and instantly felt really empowered, free flexible, adaptable, energised,, really enjoying my life trail
April 25th, 2007 at 12:23 pm
I use CVS to BVS everytime when i’ve a situation. I use this switch everytime like i see the watch to know the time. It really works. This software is really working in my necktop.
April 16th, 2007 at 6:49 am
I’m really struggling with motivation in my job right now and it is very easy to slip into a negative frame of mind. using CVS to BVS is being more readily triggered when I find myself thinking negatively. So I take whatever the issue is and switch. I find myself doing this 4 or 5 times a dayand my motivation is immediately increased by 100%.
April 11th, 2007 at 7:00 pm
While considering a new business venture I discovered a very strong potential partner that I had not considered.
April 10th, 2007 at 5:21 am
I have been applying CVS2BVS now for several days. In small ways ,like finding a parking spot, to finding more time for myself to study. Overall the biggest advantage in my thinking is an increased level of awareness. The higher my level of awareness is, I find more options become open to me.
April 7th, 2007 at 11:44 am
We had asbestos removed from our home, and the bill was $1600. But if we paid cash, which was less convenient because it involved going to the bank, we would save $100. I fought the urge to be lazy and went to the bank, and saved myself the $100.
I’m getting started with a business plan for my new company. I’m intimidated by the marketing and financial sections. So I took a seminar about writing a business plan and even shared my secret idea with a room full of people, to get myself moving forward.
April 6th, 2007 at 2:05 am
i was having a talk with someone else today and he opened up my eyes from other point of views… sometimes i think a bvs can come from other ppl and just myself, so long as im open to the bvs instead of cvs

My sister was admitted into the hospital this past monday in critical condition. Although she was staring death directly in the eye, I felt relieved that she was finally out of her home & the environment she was living in. She is getting the medical attention she desperately needed, and at the same time has been relieved of an addiction that nearly took her life. Thankfully, she too has the same view.

Interesting question – I guess the answer is that I have learned the theory but have not followed through as well as I might. I have thought about it a lot and made an attempt to increase my CVS by factors of 10 in some very low key ways e.g. made an effort to exercise for longer and more frequently than last week, but must start applying this to every sphere of my life.
March 22nd, 2007 at 10:03 pm
Also, I committed to writing 3 pages per day whether it was story writing, poetry writing, or journalling.
March 22nd, 2007 at 10:01 pm
I examined some of my self-talk, accepted that it was a choice that was getting me results, and chose to improve the self-talk in a specific area to get more of the results I want. I chose to reexamine opportunities at work and be open, willing, and able to create and accept more opportunities there.

I was part of a hockey team that won a tournament, but I did not play a large part of the victory as I was not playing well enough to warrant a regular place in the run on team. Afterwards I considered playing for another team next year, but on thinking further about the situation I have decided to improve my performance so that I can get more game time. I will practice 10 minutes every day, spend 10 per cent more time in the gym on strength and fitness, and increase my speed over 100 metres by 10%.

CVS is happy in my current role (comfort zone)
BVS is generating interest in my abilities by marketing my skills.
Using CVS2BVS as a screen saver.
March 15th, 2007 at 9:01 pm
CVS = client’s fear of technology
BVS = explanation x10 of benefits
Woo-hoo! Saved us all time and money.
March 14th, 2007 at 5:35 am
Have been reluctant to exercise even though I know exercise is good for my health. I discovered a BVS when I clued into a TV message on CNN which claims that researchers have found that exercise increases brain power. This, for me, is a BVS than exercising for the purpose of losing weight and/or enhancing body fitness. My motivation to exercise has increased tenfold with that BVS knowledge.

Honestly… although CVS2BVS has been playing in the background of my mind quite a bit, I can’t think of a specific example of where I’ve applied it.

I have been doing my best for my one of my clients for over a year and a half and realized that the two of us were getting stuck in a rut. My default role is to be a sympathetic, empathetic, caring and compassionate coach and so I decided to change my role and become a bit more like a drill sergeant, directing her to perform an action rather than presenting her with a case as to why it was a good idea and in her best interest to do this action.
I’ve been pleasantly amazed at the effectiveness of changing my role in this fashion. She has complied with my request – no, directive! – and her office is running much more smoothly.
February 7th, 2007 at 6:36 am
On monday I was up against a deadline with what had previously taken me 4 or more hours of work to finish. Instead of worrying and thinking that I wouldn’t be able to complete the task on time – I thought that there is a BVS x 10 – I just got in did the work, didn’t worry and halved the work time – with no stress

I was driving to an appointment 50 miles from my home and, about 2/3 of the way there my cell phone rang. “Who might this be ?” My appointment was calling to cancel. My immediate inner vision was an image of doing the u-turn and heading to the city..not BACK TO the place I had come from but, TO…OPPORTUNITY, ADVENTURE, FULFILMENT, THE UNKNOWN…..And the ambient light in my mind was very bright. The events of the following days were nothing short of amazing. And the energy coming from BVS…over the top and endless!!! You want numbers ? BVS is producing 1000% days !
The bottom line for me is not only repeating CVS2BVS BUT ALSO repeating the FUNDAMENTAL CHOICES OF LIFE in blocks of 10. YESSS! Repetition…So simple…so effective.

I want to lose 17 pounds by May 1, 2007. In the past two weeks I have changed my diet, increased my knowledge of healthy eating and exercise through increased reading, and began a different exercise program, all from changing my CVS to BVS.

While reaching a divorce settlement with my wife I used CVSTOBVS, which saved me thousands of dollars in legal fees and resolved the situation quickly.
CVS: blame my financial situation on her.
BVS: Stop making her wrong and take responsibility for my own financial situation.

I am buying a new flat and moving in three months time, I learnt and think step by step with the messages from the flat sales agent of all the documents prepair, the total amount of the flat in how much hong kong dollars, paid 3% deposit and 7% + 90% in or after 3 months, and who I will ask for help the day when I am moving home, sounds like I have used the words successfully, haven’t I?

We used CVS to BVS to look at targets for our business. This included identifting for a specific line of business the CVS in terms of revenues (recurring $10K/Mth and project based$30K/mth) and customers (existing 5, Leads 10, referrals 1).
We then developed a BVS which was 10 x CVS.
We then brainstormed how to get to the BVS

Faced with multiple complications I have found that simply saying cvs2bvs has a calming affect. I may not know exactly what the solution is but I am sure I will find it and things are actually not so bad after all… In fact they feel 10 times better.

I read 10 more pages of a difficult book…and listened 10 times harder to a difficult person…and excercised 10 times more self control.

2 separate occasions in replying to my mother-in-law which continues to unfold greater opportunities to use BVS!
I actually have been aware of this for some years but never had the mental cue to help trigger my attention before response and I am excited I will finally put this to greater use in my life!
I have also changed BVS to GVS for “God’s way” rather than “my way”.

I used this to put more focussed attention to my research work which, though at a final stage, was not getting due time and attention due to other pressing work at hand. Now for the past few days I have given more time to it in a better manner and I am in a comfortable position to handle it.

I was thinking about the fact that I didn’t have much money for christmas this year and then I realized how many things I did have to be grateful for, tangible and intangible. I started focusing on all the blessings that I did have in my life and I got a totally unexpected, very generous Christmas bonus from my boss! CVSTOBVS!

helped a friend feel better when she was feeling down.
i think i must learn to realise when iam not using it. this is when i am trying to shield myself against something. recently it’s my adolescent daughter who gets me uptight. i think that is where i must practise this strategy more.

I was quite upset that a senior manager challenged the legality of some training that our team had gone to a lot of trouble to organise and put in place to make it much easier for staff to access and complete. My immediate reaction was to respond with a whole lot of facts and figures and quotations from legislation (my CVS). However, my BVS was to engage the assistance of my own manager, explaining my initial reaction but also my desire to explain the benefits of the training for the senior manager and her colleagues (Newsell?). Together, we formulated a better response to try to engage the senior manager’s support.

Had a respected colleague who had a fatal accident on a motorbike last week, same age as me and similar family situation. This seems to automatically make you realise that you need to take a BVS as soon as possible, so mine included ensuring that I have work life balance, not work over life, and also that I need to say some (good) things that needed to be said now, not some other time in the future. Life’s too short.

I had an article offered for the magazine. It was awful. I was worried about how to reject it without offending. BVS is to rewrite it so it is a great article.
November 30th, 2006 at 3:11 pm
I woke up worried about the state of the planet environmentally, but (miraculously!) remembered to create a BVS….NO! Many wonderful intelligent people are working around the clock to make sure we will all survive! We’re ging to be JUST FINE!

I used CVS to BVS when writing a post-implementation review.

instead of thinking friends were excluding me from things on a holiday as i had my 2 year old to look after on my own i looked for the positive ways they had helped me over the holiday…bvs… still battling the cvs though..

Had a lot of trouble getting people to do what I wanted them to do.
Looked at it from their point of view and changed what they wanted to do and now they are choosing to do what I needed them to do

Instead of spending time on housework, I went out to the theatre. Definitely BVS!

I am in the processes of trying to move house. Instead of looking at all the negative, restictive problems – I am looking at all the positve, possible solutions.

A colleague had a computer programming problem and said” I have found THE solution, but it isn’t very good.” I set out to find ten solutions but after 7 he didn’t want any more????

Lately I have been feeling flat and unmotivated at the boxing class at the gym. Last Thursday I teamed up with another person who I instinctively knew would help me have a stronger workout. The workout was tough and I was sore for days afterward but it was worth it. He is now my Thursday night boxing partner and I am feeling better and lookng forward to pushing myself again. CVSTOBVS.

on monday i was to put on a 45-minute training session back to back to two groups. this meant that i had no time in the afternoon to get my own things done. so i’m walking down the hall saying to myself, “cvstobvs, cvstobvs…” then i saw the agenda for the afternoon and i saw the other “activity” scheduled for the staff during the time that they weren’t with me, deemed it to be a useless bureaucratic timefiller and thought, “hey, i don’t have to go to that!” there’s my bvs. beautiful.
November 16th, 2006 at 6:56 am
By switching my CVS of a belief in lack to a BVS of a belief in infinate abundance through mentoring with people like – Joe Vitale, James Ray, Bob Procter, etc.

Dear Teacher
I am a left-handed, right brain Creative with a geni~in~us appraoch to Thinking…
Question 17 made me sneeze, now question 18 has me hankering for a bit of visual stimulation, colour, right-brain massage~stimulation …given this is not your preferred teaching tool, (in this forum) could you place perhaps place a little smiley on the end of that lofty request, for those of us who appreciate lightness and levity as a vehicle of motivational c.h.a.n.g.e.?
The Art of c.h.a.n.g.e. is a visual, auditory, kinaesthetic AND intuitive, creative process…not simply ‘words on a page”…
