What’s your FULL address?
Posted on July 22nd, 2009 by MichaelIf you don’t already know, there’s much more to your FULL address than just your street, town and country.
For example, I live in St Kilda, a bayside inner suburb of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia. But, that’s only half of it.
To pinpoint the exact spot, as far as we know it at present, it looks more like this:
St Kilda,
Victoria,
Australia
Earth, Planet No. 3,
Solar System,
Orion Spur on the Sagittarius Spiral Arm,
Milky Way Galaxy,
Local Cluster,
Virgo Supercluster,
Universe,
Multiverse.
Now there’s an address! You can also tag it on to your own local address.

THOUGHT EXPERIMENT: If you like you can take ten minutes to meditate on your real place in the universe.
This article will help you to do so. I particularly liked Hubble’s comment to Edith Sitwell: ••• Read the full Washington Post article here …

are we anywhere in particular? it is a relative point of reference to make our human lives a little easier. we are kind of floating as a temporary element in infinite time and space.

I think the timeframe is really important before thinking about the place. It would seem to have changed a lot in the past!

my address on this small planet called TERRA is quite difficult to locate if we take the whole cosmos into consideration.but when we begin to restrict our coordinates to terra firma itself then we can juxtapose my address to areas around the African continent south of the Sahara and bordering the gulf of Guinea
