Posted on September 12th, 2009 by MichaelA model that replicates the functions of the human brain is feasible in 10 years according to neuroscientist Professor Henry Markram of the Brain Mind Institute in Switzerland. ‘I absolutely believe it is technically and biologically possible. The only uncertainty is financial. It is an extremely expensive project and not all is yet secured.’

Prof. Markram is to be congratulated if he thinks that he knows (almost) all there is to know about the functions and inner workings of the human brain… I am looking forward to seeing the artificial brain he will have constructed fifteen years from now.
