The history of science is replete with discoveries that were considered socially, morally, or emotionally dangerous in their time; the Copernican and Darwinian revolutions are the most obvious.
What is your dangerous idea? An idea you think about (not necessarily one you originated) that is dangerous not because it is assumed to be false, but because it might be true?

The universe is a spectrum of expression from pure spirituality to materialism. In pure spirituality there is not one thing. Devoid of all aspects of materialism and vice versa.
Expressions of consciousness throughout the spectrum reflect each other holographically. There are implications in all forms of expression.
Simply, Every thing is implied.

My dangerous idea is that we are all self-determinant. As a fully functional thinking apparatus, we are all well-equipped to determine the direction of our lives. This direction, however, leads to now-here or nowhere. Deep down inside everyone feels this and knows it. The desire to belong exists in opposition to this which breeds the different religious practices promising some sort of paradise as long as we live within the confines of these boundaries.
The great books explains this but the deciphering is something different. People generally want to be told what to do (the path of least resistance) so instead of living a life with the freedom to choose, the accept living a life with freedom from choosing.
Thinking and taking responsibility for your thoughts is the hardest work a man can attempt. The rewards are well worth the effort.
