Teaching thinking in Victorian schools (VELS)

Marcel Proust said, “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
Teaching thinking skills is all about ‘having new eyes’.
The Thinking Processes domain as mapped out in the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) encompasses a range of cognitive and metacognitive knowledge, skills and behaviours which are essential for students to function effectively in society, both within and beyond school.

It is great and the children love it. I have noticed greatly the change within the education of primary school children. It is very engaging, challenging and fun for them, and can only create a better future.

I kind of wish they had mentioned the school level. Todays preschool are probably more proficient on computers than we baby boomers since they have not been infected. I hope this is grade school!

Yes, teaching thinking skill is all about BVS2CVS and other supplementary methods of attaining the means to an end or rather transitional state of the matter.
