My Meeting With The Dalai Lama

Winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, the Dalai Lama, is visiting Australia next week so I am posting here my meeting with him 26 years ago, in 1981, on his second tour of the United States.
I had a private meeting with the Dalai Lama in New York where we discussed controlling anger, worry, happiness and pain and I also asked him to design a strategy for “a new improved religion”.
He still remains, in my experience, one of the most spontaneous and authentic people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet.
